Vehicle Detail
This is a relist. I've dropped the reserve to help move it along. You are bidding on a 1991 GMC Syclone (#477). The Syclone is a very rare, very fast, and very fun truck. This truck is no exception, AND it has a lot of extras that are hard to find. The truck has approximately 134K miles and it pretty clean. Engine & Drivetrain: The engine is a 4.3L V-6 turbo currently running 18psi of boost. The motor has about 52K on a rebuild and has had it's oil changed religiously with 10W-30 Castrol Syntec. An upgraded turbo was installed with an external mounted wastegate on the crossover pipe which is fully adjustable from the inside of the cab by a manual regulator. I haven't run it on the track but it's likely running mid 12's. The battery was relocated to the bed of the truck along with a ford starter relay and a quick disconnect on the negative. The transmission was rebuilt and has approximately 10k on it. This included cryogenically stress reliving all the internal hard parts, bearings and bushings. The tranny was converted from plastic thrust washers to complete torrington bearings, reducing internal drag and makes the whole unit stronger. Input drum is new GM and has steel ring reinforcement, 29 element sprags,4l65e reaction carrier shaft(thicker unit), and 9 Red Alto 3/4 drum stack. Also installed are larger 2,4 servos, .570 boost valve. Comes with a 9/11 convertor. There is a huge tranny cooler mounted under the bed of the truck with a temperature switch that kicks the cooling fans on at 195F and off at 182F which helps make sure the tranny never over heats. It shifts like a dream and cruises really nice. Other add ons include: Water/meth injection Ultimate chip Datamaster tuning software (see electronics below) Custom high flow cold air intake Professionally made heat blanket to prevent heat soaking Walbro high pressure fuel pump Adjustable fuel pressure regulator ATR cat back exhaust Suspension/Brakes/Steering: The brakes were upgraded to 2001 Camaro LS1 front and rear disc brakes, front rotors are slotted with new pads June 2013. The abs is functional, from and rear, and the e-brake works. The rear comes with Belltec lowered leaf springs and a rear anti-swaybar from a Chevy Extreme. Polyurathane control arm bushings, new Bilstein shocks all around, Moog ball joints and idler arm, and a quick ratio steering box from a 2001 Chevy Extreme. New tires installed June 2013 with less than 500 miles on them. Electronics: A custom computer system was installed, mounted between the two seats in the back with an indiglo keyboard in the drivers visor. The computer comes with Windows XP and tuning software. There is a built in cable that ties into the factory computer. I never messed with the tuning since I'm not an expert. The computer can hold MP3's that will play through the stero system. There is a 6.5 inch touch screen monitor just above the rear view mirror with a CD-RW rom/DVD player just below it. The sound system includes a Fostgate MP3/CD player deck, 2 Rockford Fosgate 800 watt subs (1 behind each seat), both powered by a Fosgate amp. An additional amp runs two dash speakers and two custom Syclone door speakers (looks really sharp). Intrument panel has a white faced indiglo guage overlay and there is a Viper Alarm System installed. Body: The truck is black with really cool realistic flames airbrushed up the hood and front fenders. The bed has a black cover that sits flush with the bed rails. The tailgate skin was replaced to delete the latch and move it to the inside of the bed. All the body cladding is there, no pieces missing. The truck was stripped down and painted in 2005, including painting the undercarrage black. The bad: The truck isn't perfect, although compared to what's out there this is pretty clean. Here are the negatives that I know about. Body cladding on the passenger door is cracked on the bottom. There is a crack in the fiberglass bed cover from a branch falling on it. There are some paint chips around the windshield (will attach pictures) There is a slight drain in the battery because the monitor is hardwired and always powered. It hasn't been bad enough that I've needed to fix it. The windshield wipers don't work. Fuse is in one piece, but I don't drive it in the rain so it never bothered me. The drivers window guide is busted so if you lower the window unassisted it will fall into the door. If you guide the window it works fine. The passenger window moves slow but works fine. Included is a brand new motor you can install if it bothers you. There is a leak coming from the power steering hose. It's not bad, but it's noticeable. The grill was cracked (see pictures). A brand new one from LMC Truck will be included with the truck. All in all it is a solid truck. It has never broken down on me, over heated, or caused me too many head aches. It starts right up and it goes.....fast. It's definitly a head turner, but it also will smoke most of the cars out on the road today. This truck passed NYS inspection (including emissions) with no problem in August 2012. This truck is also being sold locally so I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. I'm not accepting trades and please no BS, serious bidders only. I hate to see the truck go but I hope whoever wins the auction loves the truck as much as I have. I'm willing to deliver up to 50 miles within 10562. The winning bidder is required to provide a $500 deposit via PayPal and pay the remainder in cash or certified check (no personal checks). Happy bidding!
