Vehicle Detail
This matching # Convertible GTO paper work looks like a pedigree. It is a documented three owner GTO that has spent about 40 years right here, in dry Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have registrations from both prior owners and will provide a letter from the original owner, obtained this month, documenting his purchase of this GTO in Norman, Oklahoma. The original build sheet, Protecto-plate, invoice copy, owners manual, and a rare Pontiac GTO dealers 33 lp will be included. A/C, Rally II Wheels, Convertible electric top, a 400 Big Block 330 HP engine and a Turbo hydra-matic 3 speed automatic round out the options along with front Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Front and Rear Torsion bars, Bucket seats and front Console. Only 29k miles since overhaul and running strong, no exhaust smoke. NADA for classics books this car at $53,760 ( 20 footer ) or average condition. The reserve has been lifted and will sell to one lucky bidder ! Original color was Granada Gold Poly and was professionally repainted Cardinal Red. No hint of original color anywhere except under one of the front door panels. Engine was rebuilt and the Goat repainted in the early 80's by the 2nd owner. He also changed the heads to a lower compression during the gas wars. I have a matched set of high compression (#13 & correct dated) heads that are completely rebuilt and ready to install that will be included. I had her repainted again with a touch of pearl added when I bought her due to the long storage under tons of old tarps in a tin roofed shed. That is right, my first real barn find. All original sheet metal and no damage any where noted. The tilt steering wheel column was upgraded at some point, I have the original column and will be included. The bumper jack was restored, spare tire & wheel may not be original to the car. I have owned this GOAT for 5 years and have driven less than 3,000 miles to car shows. You will need the fuel gauge, wiring or the sending unit checked, as the gas gauge is stuck on the full mark.Dash is cracked I have a new dash cap that will be included. And correct heads need to be swapped back to make it 100% correct. Every thing else is working, including head lights, brake lights, turn signals, wipers, the push button am radio, interior lights, even the ignition key buzzer. You will average 18-19 mpg with the present heads out on the highway. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere. This may be you"re last chance to own this American muscle car from Ebay so bid like you stole it ! I have had the transmission overhauled, correct dated heads overhauled and exhaust system replaced front to rear with Magna-flow stainless mufflers, and X- overs (original exhaust tips were kept) sounds great. New top with rear back glass, new black boot cover and electric top switch. New windshield, black carpet, lower rocker moldings, sill plates, hood insulation and rubber interior/exterior molding kit, rear view mirror and outside mirror (rear trunk molding and upper control a-arm flaps still in the package), New brake boost and master cylinder, new a/c compressor with hoses that were replaced last year and blows cold. New BF GOODRICH 15" Radial tires only 3000 miles old. I have and will include the majority if not all receipts of the parts and repairs over the last 5 years. Please feel free to email me for any additional information and I will do my best to get back to you. A true classic muscle car that needs the top dropped and driven to enjoy. No reserve ! Winning bidder must contact me within 24 hours of the auction close. A clear New Mexico title will convey upon payment in full that has cleared my bank, no exceptions. No private checks. No expressed or implied warranty of any kind. Deposit of $1,000.00 in my Paypal account within 72 hours of close of auction. Balance due in 7 days. All shipping costs are the buyers sole responsibility. I will assist the potential buyers in having the vehicle inspected and encourage you to do so. Transport location pickup is in Albuquerque only or you can drive her home. Please do not bid unless you intend to buy. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
