Vehicle Detail
I bought this car out of Texas where it had been since new and I have kept it garaged since. There is zero rust on this car and underneath looks brand new. Typical of Texas cars. The car is almost 100% stock with a 305TPI/700R4 combo. The engine runs great, always starts, and has zero problems. I bought this car and drove 24hrs straight back to VA without a single problem and wouldn’t hesitate to drive this anywhere. I recently replaced the transmission with a rebuilt unit so it is fresh. Overall this car drives and handles great. No creaks or noises typical of these F-bodies. Has passed VA safety inspection. Engine: The odometer stopped at 140k miles so I cannot verify actual mileage. I believe the odometer motor quit and I have a replacement that will go with the car. Engine is 100% stock and very clean. No wiring mess and everything looks like it came from the factory. I did convert the AC to R134A and it blows ice cold. Never smokes and doesn’t burn any oil. I consistently get low to mid 20's mpg. Interior: The interior was redone when I bought it and is very clean. Small crack in dash but I have a clean one to go with the car. Fresh carpet. Fresh top. Only thing this car needs is new door and trunk seals. The windows don’t leak but seals need replacing. Everything electrical on this car works as it should except odometer motor mentioned earlier. Aftermarket stereo with cd player but was installed with correct kit so no hacking of dash. Paint & Body: Again, zero rust! Paint is faded and clearcoat is cracking off in some areas. Typical on these cars. Body is straight and no accidents. Only problem is small hail dents on top of car, mostly on the hood. Windshield has a small star crack that I am trying to repair before it grows. All glass is original with matching vin stamps. Top is fresh no rips or tears or stains. Rear spoiler has a small crack that is hardly noticeable. The fog lights were replaced with aftermarket and work but are not original. Headlights work as they should. I have tried to note everything I can but if I missed anything please feel free to ask. Thanks for looking. Car is located in Frederick, MD and I have a clear VA Title in hand.
