Vehicle Detail
1974 PORSCHE 911 COUPE Up for your bidding consideration is this legendary 1974 Porsche 911 which is in need of a partial restoration. Built in April of 1974 in the silver on black combination... nearly 40 years later it needs to be restored to its original silver color and needs a minimal amount of body work to do so. Only the lower outer door skins (see pictures) and the pan under the battery show rust damage which is normal for vintage 911s of this era. I had plans to bring this car back to the standard of which it is worthy and contracted with the finest shop in Hot Springs, Arkansas that is capable to do extremely fine work. The shops price estimate was perfect but unfortunately there were several old cars, vintage cars, and exotic cars ahead of me in line and I did not wish to wait. So the 911 is available here to someone with the wherewithall to get the job done. The interior is in good to great condition. It does need a new dash pad to eliminate the minimal cracks, and included in the sale is a new dash pad. The original seats are excellent and the interior throughout including the headliner are surprisingly very sharp. The door panel on the driver side is out of the car but is included in the sale. It will need new carpet on the driver side, front. Mechanically the car will start and run with starter fluid. It needs its injector pump cleaned. It has a new fuel pump installed. The pedals need to be rebuilt and there is a new rebuild kit for the pedal assembly included with the car. In regards to the rust below the battery area, there is a new suspension pan (see picture) that can be used to rectify this. The chassis/undercarriage itself is solid. No rust. This 911 has likely been a southern car throughout its life. The indicated mileage is 48901 and I believe this to be original and correct. The transmission and five speed shift are in good working order. I do not know the status of the air conditioning. The glass, the wheels and even the tires look good. The title is clean/clear. A pre purchase inspection is available at anytime... just contact me through eBay for an appointment. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me through eBay and I will do my very best to answer them accurately and promptly. This is a great opportunity for one to buy a 911 and bring it back to its former glory. The car is located in Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas. The winning bidder is to pay in full within three (3) days of winning the auction. This 911 will need to be towed or transported to its new home. I will be happy to keep it stored in my garage until arrangements are made for up to 30 days. Cashiers check, bank wire, or cash in person are acceptable for payment. Descriptions are for identification purposes only. It is up to the buyer to satisfy himself/herself as to the condition. The car is sold as-is, where-is, without warranty. Thank you for viewing my eBay listing. Best of luck in bidding on this historical 1974 Porsche 911 Coupe.
