I bought this bike new from American Honda. It is the 8th TL125S to be manufactured (VIN TL125S1000008). The frame and engine numbers are matching (see photos). It is currently street licensed in California (non-op since 2012). This bike was used for the first Honda TL125S advertising photos. It is not in showroom condition. It has surface rust on the frame, spokes, kick start lever, and on other parts (see photos), but it is in perfect mechanical condition. The engine starts easily and runs quietly, does not smoke, and has good power. The clutch and gearbox work perfectly. The engine has never been disassembled except for replacing the right side case gasket that was leaking. The bike has very low mileage (the chain and sprockets are original, and are in good condition). It has an optional shift lever linkage that moves the shifter closer to the foot peg (see photo). The seat, headlight, and front and rear fenders were replaced about fifteen years ago, when they were still available from Honda. The bike has been ridden very little since then. It has always been stored indoors. The fuel tank is clean inside and has no dents. It has been repainted with the original colors, striping, and decals. See photos for details. All parts are original except for UNI plastic levers, Renthal bars, and aftermarket muffler. The tires hold air, but they are old and cracked. I would prefer to sell this bike to a local (Torrance, California 90501) person who can inspect it and see it run, but I might consider shipping it if necessary.
