Last of the Great Cadillac Convertibles Older Restoration VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: VEHICLE HISTORY: This Eldorado was inherited from the owner’s father in 2000. It had been sitting for awhile, so the son spent the next two years restoring and repairing everything the car needed to bring it back to cruising speed! He kept a spreadsheet listing all the repairs and when/how he addressed them (included), along with every receipt and owner/installation manual (included). The receipts add up to over $11,000. MARQUE HISTORY: The Cadillac Eldorado was restyled for 1975 as Cadillac recognized its heritage by refining its styling to better reflect the first generation Fleetwood Eldorado from 1967. The rear fender skirts were eliminated and the square headlamps were new. A new cross hatch grille was used. Front wheel drive was retained. There were 264,731 Cadillacs produced for 1975, of which 44,752 were Eldorados, and only 8,950 were convertibles. The base price was $10,354!!
