Vehicle Detail
** Relisted due to non-paying bidder, please follow through with your purchase if you are the winning bidder. Please have all questions and concerns addressed prior to bidding. You are bidding on an exceptionally clean 1989 Ford Festiva. I recently purchased the vehicle for myself but quickly decided that I would have better enjoyment from a manual transmission Festiva. I am therefore selling the car in its as-found original condition. This is a 10 day no reserve auction, the highest bidder will own it. Fly into BWI, Dulles, or Reagan and drive it home! Engine: Starts right up and idles steady as a rock. Surprisingly quick and most definitely healthy. For a 1989 this is the poster car for reliability. Body / Paint: Paint is a metallic dark charcoal black and is overall in excellent condition considering the age of the vehicle. Body has a few noticeable dings, dents, etc. from parallel parking and slow-speed city mishaps. Pictures show all angles of the exterior for your consideration. This car has been in downtown Washington DC almost all of its life. Interior: Near mint as seen in pictures. Most parts are near immaculate including the headliner, dash, and carpet. Driver's door trim and seat has some discoloration from use as seen in pictures, I have not tried to clean them. Rear parcel shelf straps need some adjustment. Interior dome light is missing its cover. You do not have to be micro to enjoy this micro-car! There is a lot of headroom despite this vehicle's small stature, and it can accommodate taller people quite comfortably. Other items of note: -new interstate battery -AC equipped -no power steering (doesn't need it because the car is so light) -tires are likely original and somewhat dry-rotted, one is mismatched. -brakes are a bit spongy from old brake fluid. -e-brake needs to be tightened. -this economical car drives like a dream and will help you keep your wallet full with its high mpg rating. Although I strongly stand by the quality of this rare Festiva, I recommend viewing and driving it in person prior to setting a bid. Also keep in mind that this is a non-restored 24 year old car that spent the majority of its life outside. Auction will end promptly at 10:00PM eastern standard time on Sunday July 21st. PayPal deposit of 100$ due within 24 hours. Will offer a 2% discount on total cost minus deposit if paying cash. Total cost may be paid with PayPal. Can pick you up from any of the above listed airports free of charge. In the unlikely event that you have a manual transmission Festiva in running condition I will consider your trade.
