When you're looking for the ultimate in cargo carrying capability without sacrificing comfort and reliability, your search will begin and end with a Ford truck that's powered by the legendary 7.3 Powerstroke diesel engine. This '99.5 F250 XLT has all the comforts you've come to expect like power windows/locks/seat, tilt/cruise, etc. plus it's a big Crew Cab with quad doors so it has the crew and cargo carrying capability that you need. It's a short bed so you can actually take it through drive-thrus and such with no issues. It's hard to find a good-running 7.3 Ford that isn't a work truck, a piece of junk, or priced sky high. The .5 means it has the updated Powerstroke engine with more power than previous models. This is one you can actually use without worrying about anything yet with ICE COLD A/C and all the extra equipment you won't mind being seen in it either. This is no stripped-down work truck either. It has keyless entry and an AM/FM Stereo with both CD and cassette player. The big center console folds up out of the way for true 6-passenger capacity plus the rear passengers get their own fold-up armrest plus cupholders. Also included are the optional alloy wheels wrapped in a fresh set of LIKE NEW Firestone LT265-series tires that really set this truck apart from the crowd. It also has a turnover ball in the bed so you can pull a gooseneck but still have a flat floor area when needed. It also has a high flow exhaust system that isn't loud but definitely adds to the sound of the truck. This truck was just traded-in at the local dealer on a new one. It had only received light use mostly out on the highway as you can tell from the condition of the seats. With only 229k on the odometer, it's barely broken-in! We regularly see these trucks with 500-600,000 miles and running strong. Plus it has a CLEAN CARFAX. We've had our mechanic go over this truck top to bottom and he cannot find any issues. We wouldn't hesitate to get in this truck and drive it anywhere! Feel free to fly in and drive it home no matter where that may be. With its F-Series Super Duty trucks, Ford is aiming squarely at fulfilling this segment's demand.The Super Duty trucks are built on a separate platform from the smaller F-150. Bigger, stronger and more robust, they are meant to perform feats of which the F-150 isn't capable. The maximum GVWR for the F-150 is 7,700 pounds, whereas the F-250 Super Duty manages 8,800 pounds. The main mission here is towing and hauling. To provide the necessary grunt, Ford offers three different engines. The gasoline engines are a Triton 5.4-liter V8 and a 6.8-liter V10. The V8 generates 255 horsepower at 4,500 rpm and 350 pound-feet of torque at 2,500 rpm. The V10 generates 310 horsepower at 4,250 rpm and 425 lb-ft of torque at 3,250 rpm. A 7.3-liter turbodiesel V8 is also available, and it makes 250 horsepower at 2,600 rpm and a dominating 505 lb-ft of torque at 1,600 rpm. All of these engines can be equipped with an optional automatic transmission. The F-250 can tow up to 14,500 pounds when properly equipped.To match your needs better, the Super Duty comes in Regular Cab, SuperCab and Crew Cab styles. The overall look is much more aggressive than the standard F-150, and its bigger dimensions allow Ford to use larger cabs without compromising load space. SuperCab models have small rear-opening doors, while the Super Duty Crew Cab has four full-size swing-out doors. A variety of optional equipment is available, including electronic shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive, a heavy-duty suspension package and telescoping trailer-towing mirrors.Inside, the roomy cabs have large, comfortable seats and generous seat-track travel. Five or six adults can ride inside with little problem as long as you choose the SuperCab or Crew Cab body. In addition, there are many interior convenience features designed for today's business owners.
