Vehicle Detail

This is a no reserve auction! You’re looking at an enthusiast owned and maintained M Roadster with only 63,500 miles. My third M Roadster. It has the same 3.2 liter engine as the e36 M3 (S52). 2000 model year cars also have traction control. Selling with fairly new matching tires that have loads of grip. Garage kept and driven only on nice warm days. Clean title in hand. Ice cold A/C. OEM CD player. Heated seats. Cruise control. Original glass wind-shield. I'm the third owner. The car never saw snow or salt. It's in immaculate shape with zero leaks. It looks and drives like it has half the miles. Sub-frame is solid, welds are as new. Seat bushings are good as new. Every (not quite) common problem has been either addressed or is not an issue on this car. Inspections are welcome. Please contact me with any questions regarding the vehicle. I will be completely honest with the potential buyer. I'm going back to school this Fall to complete my Masters so the car has to go. It will be sold with 4 original keys, manual, and maintenance records. Email me for a link to the VIN history. Shipping is the buyers responsibility but I will assist in any way I can. I've sold three cars on eBay in the past. Since the vehicle is listed locally as well I have the right to remove the ad prior to the auction ending. Please don't bid if you don't have the funds available. Thank you for looking! 7/12/14 - For whatever reason the Q and A won't post in the auction listing. Therefore I've decided to post a select few. Q: Can you send me a link to the VIN info.Interested....will need help on shipping and need BMW Recall Letter from BMW (if you can acquire this it would be appreciated). What is your reserve, as I'd like to ensure my bid is appropriate. A: **eBay does not allow links to be posted in the description. Please contact me for the VIN link.**VIN report is above. There are no recalls on the vehicle you can confirm that by calling BMW of North America customer service. I'm sure I can get a recall report at my local BMW dealer. This is a no reserve auction. Thank you Q: How long have you owed the car? Exactly what has been addressed per your statement "Every common problem has been either addressed or is not an issue on this car." Can you send some interior pics especially on drivers seat outer edges and cushions. Also close up pics of small bead detailing around outside of rear window? Thanks A: I've owned the car for about 4 months. It was purchased while I was visiting family in Arizona. At the time I had a 1998 model which since then has been sold. I'm looking to downgrade in preparation for school. As you know certain cars have known weak points. The statement basically means these so called weak points or better said issues were either addressed or were never a problem. By the way "every common problem" is a bit of an exaggeration (dare I say lie) because I missed something (read on).I Now here are a few examples:-Certain unlucky M Roadsters as well as M Coupes had their subframe welds come apart. Without going into too much detail this particular car is the furthest thing from having subframe problems. -Another problem relates to the cooling system which my car has no problems with. I'm not sure if the thermostat and waterpump were already replaced. I want to say no because the car still has pretty low miles. -Minor issues are the seat bushings which once they deteriorate it makes the seats rock during acceleration and or braking. I've replaced them on my previous M Roadster and M Coupe but this car has zero seat motion. My guess is someone already replaced them but I might be wrong. -The window guides can also wear out making the power windows difficult to close and open. This requires removing the windows and door panels to get to the guides. Both the drivers and passenger window guides were replaced.-Glove box gets saggy. It's present on my car but it's very mild. It was really bad on my previous car and I had it fixed. The kit costs 30 dollars or so.-Leaky power steering hose. This car is dry there are no leaks. -Saggy headliner and pillars. No issues here, it's perfect.-Broken seat belt guides. I noticed today the passenger side seat belt guide is broken and an attempt was made to glue it. That said it still does its job.-Illuminated shift knob short. No problems with this. Running out of space. Pics are attached. It only allows 5. Q: Hey,I'm tinkering the idea of picking up your beautiful Evergreen but I had some questions first. I have an Evergreen coupe myself.1) Are either seat belt guides broken? 2) Has the cooling system been touched at all as far as maintenance or replacement parts? The cooling system on these cars are usually the first to go 3) I see you have a shorty antenna - do you have any other mods not listed or shown? 4) I can't see from the pictures, what is the condition on the seat bolsters? 5) I saw you mentioned the seat bushings - have they been replaced or are they factory? 6) Does the shift knob still illuminate? If we come to an agreement, would you mind if I picked the car up in person? I will be in CO in August with my coupe and if we decide to buy my girlfriend can drive it back. I look forward to hearing back from you. A: I love the evergreen, good choice.1) Are either seat belt guides broken? I overlooked this initially but the passenger side is broken but still holding. 2) Has the cooling system been touched at all as far as maintenance or replacement parts? You're correct I did a complete overhaul on my M Coupe but it's 100K+. I didn't touch the M Roadster. Not sure what was done before me. That said it doesn't have any problems. 3) I see you have a shorty antenna - do you have any other mods not listed or shown? That and the clear corner lights in the bumper. I didn't get a chance to mod it. It did have a hardtop but it's sold. 4) I can't see from the pictures, what is the condition on the seat bolsters? They are in good shape for the age and mileage. Since purchasing it I've treated it twice. 5) I saw you mentioned the seat bushings - have they been replaced or are they factory? They're perfect I know being in two cars that weren't, both of which I replaced. The previous owner might have done it. Dealer reveal any of the service records. 6) Does the shift knob still illuminate? Yes. Shift boot is in really good shape. You're more then welcome to stop by for pick up but there is only one condition. I have to take a picture of the evergreen M coupe and M roadster next to each other. ;) Thanks for your interest. Let me know if you have other questions.
