Vehicle Detail
2006 Land Rover LR3 SE V6 4x4 w/ Third Row Seat This vehicle has been one of the most dependable I've owned, but it's time for it to go to make room in the garage. The engine is extremely quiet and smooth, just as it was when new. The transmission shifts smoothly and responds like new, neither have ever been a problem. This vehicle has been carefully maintained for as long as I have owned it at our local Land Rover dealer and it's obvious the prior owner gave it the same care. It's received every tune-up, oil change, and service on, or before, the recommended time. I'm also meticulous about changing transmission fluid regularly (something most owners do not do). The all wheel drive and 4x4 functions are functional and there are no faulty or non-working electronics, everything is golden. Just recently I had two new tires, a complete fluid change and service, and a very thorough inspection done on the vehicle. Also, both front control arms were replaced about 25,000 miles ago. Here's a list of blemishes and defects: There is a noticeable dent in the rear left corner pillar next to the glass, you may notice it in the pictures below. There are some scratches on the rear bumper from hauling a boat trailer (normal use). The check engine light is on, I've had it looked at every time I take it to the dealership for service and they don't know why and say there are no problems or error codes (it's been that way for about 50,000 miles), it may be a bum sensor somewhere or bad connection. Also, the air suspension ride will only allow normal operation height until the compressor pump is replaced (Land Rover put weak compressor pumps in these cars for the suspension which throws the error code even though there's not a problem. I've really never had to adjust the height so this has never been a problem for me, otherwise, it can be replaced easily. The pumps are about $600.00.
