One owner car purchased new in January 1969 as left over 1968 model. Car was put into garage storage in 1976 and has remained so until current time. Restoration of the car was to be a retirement project, but I have lost interest due to other projects. The car is one of 2287 AMX manufactured with the 390-4 barrel engine and automatic transmission in 1968. The "Go Pack" option included power disc front brakes, Twin Grip axle (3.15:1), handling package, seven blade flex fan , heavy duty cooling system, "space saver" spare tire, and "over the top" stripes. Vehicle will require complete restoration. Both rear quarter panels will require replacement because of rust. Driver and passenger sear floor wells will require repair panels due to rust. See photos. The trunk deck lid has been replaced with a 1973 Javelin trunk deck lid because of rust along the lower skin "hem". The original trunk deck lid will be included with the car. Two areas in the trunk floor have "fatigue" cracking due to the use of a trailer hitch, and will require repair. See photos. Both rear wheels are froze due to rust in the brake drums, so moving the vehicle will require a flat bed truck or trailer with a winch. Parts not shown in the photos are in dry storage and are to be included with the vehicle. The engine turns over freely. Car is being sold "as is" with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for pickup and transportation. Vehicle needs to be picked up within 30 days of final payment clearing. Deposit of $250 is required within 48 hours of auction close.
