Looking to sell my 2002 Hyundai Accent. This is a good car that has served me well but it is a fixer upper that needs a better home and some TLC. Relatively low mileage, 114,000 most of which was done in the first five years of ownership. I am the original owner of the vehicle. 5 speed stick shift, minor blemishes on the exterior, interior is good but the carpets are a bit worn, A/C works as does heat, tires and rear breaks replaced in 2012. Car still runs and gets about 30-35mpg highway and a little less in winter. Now for the issues and why this car is a fixer upper: Timing belt and muffler/exhaust pipe needs replacement or repair immediately. Shocks in the back are gone so you feel every little bump in the road. Gas tank shutoff valve is flakey and would need to be replaced if you want to be able to fill the tank faster than a trickle at a time. Could use a oil change/coolant flush too. YES, the car still is running!!
