SIMILAR INQUIRES FROM SEVERAL E-BAY MEMBERS PROMPTED THIS RELISTING AND CHANGE TO PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS. Selling my 1949 Chevrolet fleetline deluxe 4 door sedan. I purchased this 100% complete car from a local junk dealer in June 2005 and spent the next 2 years restoring it to its near original condition, no expense was spared, I have a documented investment of over $15,000 in parts and materials. I rebuilt this car during my age years 70-72, it was not my first or last, a 1936 ford pick up came later. This has been a life long hobby of mine. All body rubber, window lace weather strip etc. was 100% replaced. Upholstery is from LeBaron Bonney, All glass except the rear body glass was replaced, floor patch panels, outer rocker panels, left rear quarter panel, bottom of front fenders and spare tire well replaced with factory reproducion parts or the proper grade steel pannels, front and rear dust pannels were repaired with fiberglass and are begining to show some sign of paint bubbling. I replaced the gas tank and complete exhaust system, engine, transmission and rear end was gone through and repaired as needed,(there is some wear in the piston pins and can be heard at an idle). all brake parts except for the lines were replaced. The paint is code correct and is single stage acrylic. The interior trim is not color code correct. The bumpers, bars, tag guard and grill were purchased outright from Bumper Boys. The car is 100% operational except the radio doesn’t work and the fuel gage is inaccurate. The bottom of the doors do not line perfectly as noticed in the photos, this is due to the rocker panels being installed with the doors off the car. The bottom of the front doors were also installed with the doors off the car. This is a driver and is ready to drive anywhere anytime. I did not entend it to be a show car although It has done well at local shows and usually brings home an award. It could be a show car with some minor adjustments, touch ups and buffed out. This is a rare car due to the limited number of survivors of this unique body style with the rear vent swing out smokers windows and the increasing demand. My reason for selling this car: My wife passed away last year and I no longer have a desire to keep my current cars. My interest has changed for a smaller car or pickup of the 20's/30's and my age will no longer allow me to do my maintenance. I will sell the car outright or possible trade for one of my interest of original or equal condition and value.
