79 Honda CBX 1000 CBX1047 CBX1050 Supersport Up for bids is a 79 Stock Honda CBX. Its a nice looking bike. It runs and drives as it should. The brakes are in great working order. The front and rear tires are original tires that came with the bike with no weather checking. They both have good tread but would need to be replaced to be safe. They would be ok for displaying the bike. The body work is original too and has never been painted. There are some dings on the gas tank. The exhaust system is the original HM 422's and the conditon of the exhaust is about a 9.5 out of 10. The seat is the original but the seam is coming apart in the middle. I am including a new original looking seat cover along with the used metal seat trims. The carbs have been gone through. There are new spark plugs, new oil change and filter. New brake fluid and a new battery. There is no rust in the gas tank at all. The bike does have some scuffs and scratches here and there but for the most part it is a very nice 79 CBX. It does have the famous clutch noise that the 79 and 80 cbx's have. You can remedy that by putting in a 81/82 Honda CBX clutch. The bike starts up on the first try! It does not smoke at all even when first started. It idles and revs as it should. It has no oil leaks at all. The chain is in very good condition.
