This sale is for a fun car. A 1981 Chrysler Imperial. This is a true 30K mile car. In 1989 the car had less then 10K miles and has been driven sparingly. It has been one family owned since new. This is a very early build car 9/80 and most likely one of the first. A set price when new was nearly $23K! This car has had all the factory updates and has the Moper service tags in place. Many did not know Chrysler made these unique looking cars. Only a limited number were sold during their three year period. Those who see them don't really know the historical value. This is not just a car. Simply put this was Chrysler's masterpiece. The hood emblem is real crystal. Many of the features on this car were state of the art and new to Chrysler. Many things we take for granted today were brand new on this car. In fact some items were too new and the factory had to retrofit a few things to get it right. And they did. For fun I bolted the 20" wheels. Love them or hate them. The meat slicers give the car mass appeal and seems to get a ton of thumbs up. Don't worry it is selling with the original tires and wheels. The 20's are not part of the sale. The interior is very nice and not faded. According to the Imperial Regestery the 1981 has the best interior of all three years. Headliner is also solid. Headlight motors operate (open and close) as they should at the same time! The color is Silver Metallic and has been repainted. There is a flake near the right side headlight door and the clearcoat has been buffed through on the rear pilliar. You really have to look. Could be touched up easily with some clear. The radio aftermarket and the horn switch on the steering wheel is cracked. There is also a small crack on the dash pad. Very common things but doesn't take away from the fun factor. There is a Chrysler Imperial Regestery. There are only 169 Imperials of all three years regestered. This car is NOT on the list. It will be up to the winner/new owner. I listed the car as an 1980 specific as ebay requires 1981 and up to post the complete vin (to sell car fax reports no doubt!) I wanted to keep it private. If no contact is made within 24 hours, I reserve the right to re-list the vehicle, sell it to the next high bidder, or sell it otherwise. 2 $1000 is the deposit and must be received within 24 hours of auction end and will be non refundable. We do accept pay pall however not on vehicle sales. So please do not make travel plans if the deposit has not been recieved. It doesn't matter if you are located 5 miles away or 5000 miles. The deposit must be made no exceptions. This is a serious auction and the terms are to identify deadbeats early on in the process. 3. Final payment must be received within 5 business days after close of auction. 4. Payment can be made by cashier’s check, money order, or by bank wire transfer.
