Vehicle Detail
Up for bids is my 1975 Chevy Laguna S-3. If you are looking for a nice reliable cruiser of this type, then this is the car for you. I use this car as a daily driver on nice days, in the summer months only. It is mechanically sound with a very smooth ride and I can assure you that it can be driven anywhere, long or short trips. With 87,000 original miles, this particular model has the rare option 400 cubic inch motor, automatic transmission, and factory limited slip rear end. The car is pretty much unmolested. all components within the engine compartment are in tact including all smog and A/C components. The interior hosts the round rally guages in the dash, swivel bucket seats, and center console with floor shifter. The original am/fm radio still works like new as the rest of the guages, lights, blower motors for the heat, a/c, and rear defrost systems. The radio speakers are original and still sound good like 1975 stock speakers did. The only guage that does not work is the factory clock (which we all know that was always the first to stop working). The unfortunate part of the interior is the notorious dashes that crack. This one has two cracks in it due to Sun and they are on iether side of the front speaker perforations. As for the body and paint goes, all the original panels are still in tact with no work done to them ever, meaning that there is no bondo, metal patching, or fiberglass work ever done to the car. The original paint could use a refresher if you want a show car because it has minor scuffs and sctatches, or just drive it as is and you won't have to worry parking it any where you go. There are are some spots on the trunk lid and roof that looks like someone had tried to rub the car out trying to bring a show shine back to it and rubbed through the paint a little, but not quite down to primer. The front header panel has cracked paint on it due to age and the flexing/expanding/shrinking of the eurothane structure. The final top is in perfect condition and has never been replaced. All body lines are where they are supposed to be. The hood hinges are not in any way sprung as the hood lines are nice and sits the way it came when new.( alot of these hood hinges would go bad after many years). The rear bumber could use rechrome but does not have any rust or dents. The underside of the car is pretty clean for its age. The floors, trunk floor, frame and frame rails are perfect with very minor surface rust ( the kind of surface rust you would find on any southern car or car that has been kept out of sever elements.) You could still see the original undercoating texture and clear undercoating textur in the engine compartment as well. The botton of the rear quarter panels are perfect that you could still clearly see the factory welds. Wheel well lips are perfect, as are all the inner fender wells. Rockers and door jams are solid and rust free. Bottom of the doors have minimal rust. There are quarter size rust spots on the bottom of both fenders and one on the lower quarter between the door and wheel well. The exhaust has been changed from single to true duals from the manifolds to cherry bomb mufflers, finished off to factory duel tail pipes. The engine compartment has been recently steam cleaned and as you could see in the picture all the original undercoating on the inner fenders and fender wells. You will not be disappointent with this vehicle for the state that it is in. it is a turn key, reliable car that turns heads all over. It's not very often that one looks in their side and rear view mirrors and sees an old school nascar front end coming at them. It's comical watching people do double takes in their mirrors and then cotinue staring at the car as you go by them. Now, at the end of this auction I will require a $500 paypal deposit within 24 hours, and the balence paid in full within 5 days fron the end of auction. Final payment can be through paypal, certified bank check, or cash in person. I will not release the car or title unless all funds have cleared. If you send full payment through paypal, once it has cleared I will overnight the title to you, as you the buyer make full arraingements to pick up the car or have the car picked up. This is a private sale therefore the car does not have a waranty and will be sold in as is / where is condition. Please notice and respect my 100% possitive rating. I have described the car to the best of my ability and encourage that you you view or have someone view the car before you bid on it if you wish to do so. I also reserve the right to end this auction early if the car is sold locally while the auction is in progress. I hate to let this car go, but I have to minimise the small collection that I have.
