Up for Bid by the Eastlake Police Department is a 2003 BMW 745Li. This Silver with gray interior. It is in excellent condition with only 50,423 miles. The exterior has no rust and only a small scuff behind the passenger rear wheel. The interior is near perfect with only minor signs of wear. This BMW is loaded! Note: I was having difficulty getting the Idrive (vehicle information / entertainment system) to start, I would only get "BMW" on the screen. The vehicle was brought to a local BMW delearship, Classic BMW, and was diagnosed with the following issue: MOST (Media Orientation Systems Transport) had a ring break. Now to explain a little about the MOST system. All of the systemens controled through the Idrive (Radio, NAV, CD, ect...) is connected through fiber optics called a MOST ring. If one of the nine components has a "break" in fiber optic connection, none of the components will work. We believe the problem is the six disc changer. Someone had forced the cartrage into the player backwords. I managed to get it back out but it will not load when it is placed in correctly, so this is our best guess as to the problem. We will give the winner all of the paperwork provided to us by Classic BMW. The Eastlake Police Department is selling this vehicle "as is".
