NEED $1,000 - $1,500 OF WORK.....It's currently 100% driveable. Clean title. Quattro (4x4) (4 wheel drive) 4.2 V8 136,xxx miles L body (longer version) MMI = Navigation/TV/and a bunch of options Solar energy panel glass sunroof = while car is parked, gets energy from the sun and uses it to work the AC to cool the interior. (rare option) Air adjustable height suspension (automatically adjusts the cars height based on speed, if want to adjust yourself option needs to be reactivated through mechanics computer. Cost: 0-$100) Parking sensors. Driver and passenger heated and air conditioned seats. Heated back seats. Window curtains/shades Suede and led door panels. Sometimes tranny kicks at 1 to 2nd gear. Mechanic said it may need more oil or oil replacement. (I don't know i'm not an expert) Air bag light is on. This came on after I disconnected and reconnected the car battery. No clue. Needs vacuum rubber air tube. ($50-120). This tube is has came unplugged or has a hole in it, it causes the check engine light to turn on. OBD reader identified the problem. Interior leather ripped in multiple places. (Went to a repair shop in Altadena, CA owner estimated $375 for full repair of same leather. If doing 2 tone black, then it costs cheaper. Windshield is cracked (I called a place they said $250 for brand new one including install). Needs 1 back door handle wire (rear driver door will not open from the inside) Needs 1 window regular (rear window will not open. Costs $80 - 200) CD changer doesn't spit out CDs as fast as it should, cds come out slowly, changer could use oil. Sunroof makes sound opening closing, could probably use oil along with passenger side view mirror. Something keeps on draining the car battery if left undriven for 3 days. I would know if i'm leaving the interior lights on. This draining thing causes the MMI (navi screen) to temporary turn off because its not sending all the power to it, so when the battery is good MMI is fine, battery bad, MMI turns on and off, one day on, one day off. Talked to a guy who ones the same car as this he said...."Oh I had the same problem with my A8L, you're looking at a $150 fix. You need a new control module." Driver side headlight bulb is burned out, I bought 2 of them, haven't had a chance to install them. Some of the rear seat plastic storage holders won't close fully cause the handle is broken or the inside clip. Car could use a good coat of wax and polish. New battery from dealer. (This is over 900 CCA so its expensive. Paid $300. Have receipt). New car key (paid $180 + programming. Have receipt). Updated MMI system (paid about $500. Have receipt). This is where the air suspension and car battery draining issue kicked in. Basically you can drive the car like this if it doesn't bother you, but what I would do if I was the new buyer is I'd fix the seats ($375), change the windsheild ($250), and get that control module ($150). Airbag light could be from the same battery not sending enough power because of control module. Cosmetically looks great. I drive it daily. Questions? Contact me. Local to 91201? Contact me.
