Low Mileage, Restored 1978 Honda 750 Supersport Remember these off the showroom floor? All the black and chrome was just so cool. I had to have one so I purchased this bike along with a bunch bikes and parts that a collector had. Turns out it was way nicer than the one I was restoring! Tune up, carb cleaning, fluids change, brakes, new battery and it runs real good. Bike was completely stripped down. Frame painted, Engine painted High heat Engine paint. Lots of chrome parts are better than original as I had them polished and plated. Back in the day, Honda only plated some items without high polishing them first. Check out the new paint with correct decal under clearcoat. Beautiful! Factory emblem was brass plated and background painted with semi gloss black like original. Look close. So much better than new. Notice the condition of the seat. It's an OEM heat sealed pleated factory seat cover. Foam is also factory original in excellent shape. No distortion on sides of seat and pan underneath is perfect. Original shocks that springs were taken of media blasted and repainted. Look nice. So many cool details. Look close at all the pics. I tried to get many angles. Very clean and rust free exhaust header that is rare. Muffler has a very minor scrape but no dent on lower outside. This muffler was purchased from ebay to replace the aftermarket one that was on the bike. Note the Brand New NOS Case savers I found. To protect the engine. Bottom line.... The 78 was the last of the SOHC Honda 750's (Only 77 & 78 had the black engines) The black tank models done right, look like a piece of Motorcycle jewelry. That's why I love these so much. This bike gets more comments and thumbs up than most new bikes off the showroom floor. I have a lot of $ and hours in this bike. Hope it goes to a good home Good luck bidding.
