Up for auction is my very nice classic 1987 BMW 325is sports coupe with just under 128k miles, and comes with the desireable black exterior and tan interior combination, 5 speed manual transmission, leather recaro seats, BBS mesh wheels, aftermarket CD player, power sunroof, windows, locks, mirrors, and cruise control. Mechanically, the car runs and drives great, new timing belt and water pump service last month with less than 500 miles on it. The car was in storage for many years before I purchased it and I did not want to run the car on the old timing belt so it was done. Clutch and gearbox work perfectly with no unusual grinds or sounds, wheel bearings are all quiet as well as the rear differential. All gauges work correctly. No leaks or drips from the engine. No checks lights are on or service lights. New air filter and plugs last month, 4 new tires are only 2 months old and still have the red sidewall spots on them, rims are in very nice condition. Shocks and struts are in great shape and suspension is tight. Engine runs to redline with gusto as it should and sounds very good. All windows work properly as well as the sunroof, which does not leak. Dash computer light is very dim and hard to see but still works. All lights and blinkers work properly. I would not hesitate to drive it across country tomorrow. Cosmetically the paint I would rate as a 9 out of 10 as it's still the original paint and has only a couple minor scratches and blemishes that you would have to look hard to find and looks great. The rear rubber spoiler has some fading on it as all "is" models have at this point in time but still looks presentable. Glass is all good with no scratches or cracks. Front spoiler lip has some minor crazing in the paint and looks better than most I have seen. Interior is in nice shape with the tan leather seats having very little wear showing, drivers seat had a small side bolster seam fixed with no rips or tears in any of the seating. Dash is crack free! Headliner is perfect as well as both door panels showing just normal wear. New CD player is installed and works great once you learn how to work all the functions. Known problems on the car are car locking system locks normally from the driver's door, but has to be unlocked from the trunk. Air conditioning does not come on anymore and I don't believe it has ever been retrofitted to the newer freon so I haven't done anything with it. Overall, a very nice low mileage collectable 325is that runs and looks great and needs very little. The title is clear and is still in my dealers name so you will be getting a bill of sale along with the title when payment is received, no additional fees. I will need a $200 deposit with 24 hours by Paypal with the balance due within 7 days from auction's end. No out of the country buyers please.
