The bug ran great, but was parked in my barn in 1981 after I tried jump starting my jeep with it--- blew out the generator--- never jump another car with a generator! Was covered with a tarp and forgot about until now--- cleaning out the barn. Was under cover in the barn for 32 years, I mover the bug and looked under--- the two shock supports on the front axle need replaced--- these are an item that are manufactured to be welded to the axle for replacement. these mounts, a new battery and generator are in need! The bug was a lot of fun-- ran everywhere,I would drive it in the woods on the farm. the gasoline heater in the bug was great in the cold north winters, a big plus here. there is a lot of spare parts, tires and wheels with bug. There was never any body work to the car--- it does need some now! Buyer make arrangement for pickup.
