Vehicle Detail
UP FOR BID IS MY 1997 993 C2S - THE BEST 911 EVERBUT I MUST GIVE IT UP, TIME FOR IT TO MOVE ON TO A NEW LOVING HOME This car has all the standard "S" equipment - the wide body and the sunroof, the graphite colored shift knob button and e-brake handle, the different trim on the dash and door panels that may be alcantara Some of the items on the option code list pictured below may or may not be standard S equipment but it does have the Tiptronic controls on the steering wheel, cruise control and the on-board computer A couple of the options I have upgraded. I swapped the CR-210 radio for a more modern CDR-220 which includes a cord for playing your iPod or iPhone through the radio. I also added stainless gauge rings, inside door handles and a ignition key surround - easily removed/replaced if you don't like them. I also replaced the seats with full leather 8-way adjustable seats for the driver and passenger. Cost of seats $1500 Less than 500 miles ago I replaced the alternator with a rebuilt/exchange Bosch alternator. At that time I converted the system to a single belt system and had the fan powder painted. I have the original pulleys if you want to go back to the two belt fan/alternator system Additionally, less than 500 mile ago, I rebuilt/replaced the brakes. They now have stainless steel brake lines, Zimmerman rotors with Coat Z anti-corrosion coating and Cool Carbon performance brake pads (they are a cool color of blue). At that time I painted the calipers red. No ... they aren't Big Red brakes like on the Turbo ... they're just stock brakes painted red The following is the list of added major upgrades First and foremost --- I installed a set of Volk Racing/Rays Engineering TE37 Forged Monoblock wheelsThese are some of the strongest and lightest wheels availableThe front wheels are 18" x 8.5" and the rears are 18" x 10.5"The tires are Continental Extreme Contact DW - fronts are 235/35 ZR 18 and the rears are 285/30 ZR 18 Great Tires !!!Just under 5000 miles on them. Tread depth is 9/32's front and 6/32's rear. New they were 10/32'sI also installed all new alloy lug nuts and wheel locks and custom made center caps using enameled Porsche crests Wheels, Tires, Lug Nuts and Center Caps were $5000 500 miles ago --- I had a KW Variant 3 Shock Absorber/Coil-Over suspension system installedThe suspension was aligned, lowered 1" and Corner BalancedThe system is easily adjustable for Bump and Rebound with included little toolsIt is currently set at a medium/road settingHeight is relatively easy to reset but you'd need to have it Corner balanced againVery pretty Purple and Yellow and Chrome !!! Cost for this system was $4000 1000 miles ago --- I installed a Fabspeed exhaust systemThe system consists of Maxflo Mufflers, Sportcat/Catbypass X-pipes and a 993 CUP Performance Air Intake systemThe Catbypass pipes are currently in place - easy to install the Sportcats if needed for testingFabspeed claims 30 more horsepower for this systemThe original air intake and mufflers and Cat are included Cost of this system was $3375 Is it perfect ? NO --- but it is very very nice !The interior IS almost perfect. No cuts, cracks or tears - just the usual age "wrinkles" in the seating leather The exterior has the normal paint chips and nicks and aging of a 15 year old/70,000 mile car. A previous owner or shop scraped the paint at the right rear wheel well opening(pictured below). Sloppy tire iron use I guess. The underside of the nose has lots of scrapes from parking encounters BUT it won't happen again since I installed a Carnewal Front Protection Bar. Too bad it wasn't on from day one Autocheck says this car was hit in the right front in 2004. I see no evidence of this. Carfax says No accident/damage reported. It either didn't happen or was very minor and repaired expertly !!! Please message me through the eBay system with any questions So it's time for the bidding. When bidding, consider the nearly $14,000 of major upgrades in the Wheel/Tire package, the Suspension system, the Exhaust system and the seats. If you win it, a $1000 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of listing close. Account information available when needed Good Luck New lug nuts and locks and center caps I created New Brakes and Suspension Unfortunately the pipes discolor with use Catbypass pipes installed Carnewal Front Protection Bar far right of picture Paint scrapes mentioned in above text $1000 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of listing closeThe balance is due within 7 days of close of the bid by wire transfer
