Vehicle Detail

Hello all, I am selling my BMW K1300s. It is a great bike, but I did not been find much time to ride last year, and have only been out a few times this year, so I think that it is time to sell the bike to someone who will ride it more. The bike comes with all of the options, including ABS (which might have been standard for this bike), ESA (electronic suspension adjustments), ASC (stability control), Shift Assist (which I never thought that I would use, but which has turned out to be great), and TPM (I love the automatic tire pressure monitoring). In addition, the bike comes with the lockable BMW saddle bags which are key-matched to the bike and the BMW tank bag. The bike comes with an upgraded Remus exhaust that enhances the sound and performance of the bike, and I believe that I have the stock exhaust in case you want to switch back (no promises there). The bike also has the peg lowering kit which makes the bike more comfortable for long rides. Also, I have a front and a rear track stand, which you are welcome to. As should be obvious, the bike is in the rare Lava Orange color which I love because it grabs the attention of others on the road. The bike is powerful and comfortable. I find the 4 cylinder engine to be easy to manage around parking lot, and then it really screams on the open road where you can hit triple digits in 3rd gear. The bike is stable through high speed curves and provides great wind protection and comfort to keep you comfortable through the long distance days. I previously rode a Ducati ST4s which was also a great bike, but I have found the BMW to be more usable and fun in every way except that the Ducati generally has better clothing. Now for the bad side. First, the bike toppled once in the garage. It was parked (not crashed while in use), but there is damage to the right hand side. I have tried to get some good pictures of that. The right side mirror was pressed into the windscreen which damaged it. I replaced the mirror, but not the windscreen. Second, the electrical wiring to the clutch lever was cut and reattached (this is just the electronic line, not the hydraulic one). The work was done at Bob's BMW and is solid, but it means that there is a tape-wrapped connection where there should only be a wire. Neither of these issues impacts the ride or safety of the bike, but they do impact the looks and presumably the resale value of the bike. Feel free to ask questions; if you live in the area, you are welcome to visit for an inspection. I do not have any connection to a bike shipping company and would prefer local pick-up. If you are willing to coordinate with a shipper (and pay for it), I am happy to meet the shipper. I plan to list the bike for sale locally, so reserve the right to sell it before the auction ends. Thanks for looking, and happy bidding. On May-20-13 at 15:25:26 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello again. A few additions based on the first round of questions: (1) I am adding a picture of turn signal and ABS/ASC/ESA buttons. The info button is at the top and the horn at the bottom. You can't see the high beam buttom around the back, but it is also there. (2) I am adding a picture of the repaired electrical connection into the clutch. It is not a great picture (black electrical tape is hard to see on the black background), but it gives you a sense of where the connection is. Note that the repair is only on the small wire to the clutch (which I believe is just a two conductor with to a simple switch on the clutch lever). The more complicated wire to the various buttons on the left hand grip is stock. Thanks.
