Up for auction is my 1989 325iX in Diamond Black metallic. I purchased this car in the Spring of 2011 and have done a lot of work to bring it up to where it is now. It still is in need of some small things but with a new business I need to focus on that. I will attempt to list the good and bad but please feel free to ask questions after looking over the photos. This car was purchased out of NY state from a supposed e30 enthusiast who failed to disclose issues with the car. Most of those have been addressed and I would not hesitate to drive this car across the county. The Carfax showed a 2 owner car from CT prior to my purchase. Please keep in mind this is a 24 year old car.Exterior-Paint presents well but has several small scratches as BMWs from this era tend to have after this long a period. Some deeper scratches on the hood and the fender arches where it appears the car has scraped some objects, These have been touched up. Some small dents on the trunk lid and hood that could probably be repaired by paintless dent repair. Some sap marks on the hood. Overall the paint is a 6 out of 10 but appears original. All VIN stickers from the factory are attached still. New grille and ellipsoid headlamps. "Sport" lip spoiler. Rust? I found 2 small surface spots that I sanded down and repainted and one small spot on the rear passenger rocker. One small dent above the exhaust tips. Interior-Very nice over all but BMW vinyl wears forever. One small tear on the rear seat backrest (about 2 inches). Headliner nice and no dash cracks. Heated seats still work though the passenger side bottom seems slow to warm. Aftermarket Sony radio and keyless entry installed and works. Ashtray replaced by very cool factory storage box. Flashlight in glovebox. Has the rare armrest/cupholder. Also has a delay relay for the interior lights that delays them turning off after the door is shut.Mechanical-Lots replaced. Here is a partial list-I say partial because I will probably forget some thing. Cruise works, Power windows work . Replaced Front struts, rear shocks, new front spings front pad sensors, front and rear brake pads, brake caliper kit front and rear, foglight switch, new factory hood release cable, new a/c compressor (blows cold), blower motor, blower motor relay, new Behr radiator, thermostat, temp sending unit, power antenna, toolkit (yes the ENTIRE toolkit -box and all had been removed), left front axle seal, new front axle boots left and right, transfer case fluid changed, transmission serviced, new cat back factory exhaust, new Continental tires (less than 8,000 miles) (spare is a new BF GOODRICH tire), new battery.Current issues-the ABS light is illuminated, I was told timing belt service was done at 109,000 but have not proof and since the seller embellished the condition of the car I am doubtful about that, wheels should be refinished and trued, if the car sits for 10 days or more the battery runs down. The hazard light switch is non-functional. And certainly new paint would make it look like a new car. Overall this is a very nice e30.
