Vehicle Detail
Car was originally 1750, but now has the 2000 engine Exterior:7.5/10 It is not completely rust free. There are minor rust bubbles on the bottom of the rear window frame. There's a little bit of surface rust in the trunk, but nothing where the rust is eating through the metal. There's a ding/chip on the passenger door. Seems like the previous owner opened the door too wide.Paint: 8.5/10The original color of the car is silver, however the car has been repainted after some removal of rust from prior owner. Interior:6/10Needs new wood trim pieces.Cracked dash, however dash cap is included to cover cracks.Front seats have been recovered and the cushion is in great shape. No rips.Rear seats need to re-cushioned.Carpet is in good shape. Door cards are included as well as all the handles.Headliner is immaculate. There's a couple of missing switches. Motor:7/10Motor pulls strong.New water pump and hoses.New spark plugs and wires. New rotor and distributor cap.Weber carburetor conversion - Included a reconditioned air intake manifold, new Weber carburators, low pressure fuel pump, and all the linkages and brakets necessary. Engine had the Spica mechanical fuel injection system when previous owner had bought it, but converted because it was too difficult to dial in. Transmission:8/10New driveshaft support and flex diskNo grinds or crunching through all 5 gears including reverse. Suspension:9/10New Koni "Red" struts on all four corners.Performance springs. Polyurethane bushings throughout the suspension. Footwork:9/10New wheels and tires.New front brake rotors. New brake pads all the way around. Wheels have been refinished. Overall the car is in good condition, but its real value is in its upgraded/new parts, above average condition body (minimal rust). The car sits and rides extremely well, and engine pulls strong. The car will be sold as is. On May-13-13 at 22:22:07 PDT, seller added the following information: As of 5/13/13The car was inspected by a classic european shop called Burlingame Motor in Burlingame, CA. These are what we discovered. Rust:Minor surface rust on the bottom of the rockers. Rust on the bottom of the passenger fender under the paint. Electrical:Interior lights don't work.Turn signals don't work.Reverse lights don't work.License plate bulbs need to be put in. Motor:Did not do so well on compression test. When driven, the motor runs strong to the mechanic and he explained that it can be the piston rings being stuck because the car doesn't get driven. There's an oil leak possibly coming from the valve cover gasket. Will confirm tomorrow. Transmission:Everything is fine, however 2nd gear is starting to grind. This just started happening today, the synchro is going bad. Other notes:heater does not work.
