Vehicle Detail

Up for bid: This is a 1980 LeBaron Medallion Coupe. I bought this as a project last year on eBay. (Click the following link to see a half-way point in the project, at the bottom of the pictures page, you can see what the car looked like when I bought it. More Pictures This is a great car, but needs to have some items attended to before it would be a good daily driver. The body, as you can see, is in fantastic shape. I have the original grill, it will be included with the car if you care to make the car more original. When selecting the paint scheme, I was attempting to simulate the "LS" option of the day. More details below: Good: Brand New Paint. Body is in great, straight shape and has no rust! Freshened engine from a 1989 5th Ave. (Valve Job, all new gaskets, NO LEAKS!) (Used 4-bbl carb from original engine) Idles and runs fantastic, although it bogs a bit at full throttle. Brand New Exhaust System, Welded, Real Nice! NOS Kelsey-Hayes 10-Spoke wheels, domes, and caps -- Best you'll find! Brand New white-letter tires. Brand New Air-Shocks (rear). Brand New replica door seals. Sunroof works great. All lights work great - including the optional "ditch" lights (cornering lamps) Complete NOS Taillights installed on rear. Brand New Paint, Vinyl Top, Pin Stripes -- Looks great! Brand New Battery. Bad: Car has 176,500 Miles. Lots of rattles and squeaks. Interior is real rough -- blue leather is pretty cracked, particularly on driver's seat-back. The suspension and steering need a complete rebuild. I filled the air conditioner with R-134, and it worked for about 3 days. System works, blew real cold, but there is a leak. Rear bumper is incorrect, it's from the 5th Avenue parts car from which the engine was pulled. ---- The original bumper was bent in slightly leaving me to believe the car had been hit at some point. The car runs and runs and drives just fine. I would be comfortable driving it a couple hundred miles, but I would replace the sloppy suspension and steering components before driving regularly. The fine print: The car is for sale in as is condition. No warrantee is implied or specified. This is an old car with a lot of miles, buy at your own risk. If you decide to buy this car long distance, please feel free to reach out to me. I'll answer any and all questions honestly. I believe I have represented the car accurately. I have a clear title -- and the car passed California Smog with flying colors! Detailed Pictures Below!
