1957 CHEVY 3600 LARGE WINDOW PICKUP .... 235 6 CYL 3 SPEED Great project truck!.... Was going to restore with son but he needed to replace his everyday driver so this project goes for now.... Lots of info...Please read carefully.... Started working on truck.... and did the following: Painted inside of cab, including dash. Replaced oil pan gasket. Tuned up engine (plugs, points, condensor, wires, coil, fuel pump, air filter) Changed oil Installed battery tray. Installed NEW , complete wiring kit..... However not completely checked out yet... Do know the ignition, headlights work. Rebuilt carb. Got engine running with gas in Carb ... Didn't get chance to hook up new fuel tank, line etc.... Bought the following parts - NEW (OVER $1,500) and they are either on the truck or are included... Extra back window Parts for an extra speedometer Shop Manuals, restore books,etc.... Various additional small parts As I said truck will make great project especially with all the parts included. Frame is in good shape, engine turns over and starts fine. All the glass is good, including a new window I bought for the passenger door (needs to be installed). Previous owner moved shifter from column to floor. He also redid the brake booster and lines... (they are still drum however) The front fender and cab do need some body work....There are some rust through areas. The truck does not presently run....No Fuel line, tank installed ..... Also do not have a working battery (dead from sitting). I HAVE THE TITLE IN HAND. NO RESERVE.... PICK UP ONLY..... YOU MUST MAKE SHIPPING ARRANGEMENTS. SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY.... IF I WAS GOING TO KEEP THE TRUCK... i WAS PLANNING ON PULLING THE ENGINE AND HAVING THE FIREWALL PATCHED BY MY SON'S FRIEND.
