You are bidding on on1959 Willy CJ5 Willys-Overland CJ-3A was introduced in 1949 and was in production until 1953. This 1959 Willy CJ5 is modeled off of Army Version M38. Many of the features on this CJ5 jeep evolved from the experimental configurations performed on the WWII Willys (MB series). The Willy 1959 CJ5 has an Engine Crankcase – Hurricane F4-134 Engine, wheelbase is 81”. Current owner purchased this jeep in 1968 to specifically plow snow in Chicago winters. He upgraded features to the CJ5 Willy jeep, including the attached permanent roof with doors with windows, added over-drive which increases speed – see inside picture- and the snow plow which also shifts diagonally right & left when required. The plow shift was also added by the owner. The snow plow also comes with this auction. This Jeep has its original miles 27,587 with all original parts and many spare parts for future use – see pictures of boxes in rear of jeep along with many owner manuals. Jeep is still used annually in the winter only for plowing; It has been kept in very good condition as reflected in pictures. The Jeep runs in excellent condition.
