Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a MUST SEE 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 2WD 6-speed 5.9L HO Cummins Diesel Quad Cab Pick-up Truck! I am the second owner of the truck. This Texas truck has ONLY has 100,600 original miles on it! You will not find a cleaner truck out there. It has always been a non-smoker truck and has no other foul odors of any kind I just recently had a full detail done on the truck top to bottom, front to back. I purchased the truck in January 2009 with 26,000 miles on it. An older couple owned it originally and only used it to pull their travel trailer. This is why it had such low miles and the Jake brake exhaust brake installed. It was absolutely like new when I bought it. I basically ran across it and just could not pass it up in the great condition that it was in. I have always had a one-ton truck as well, so this one never got used for any heavy towing, etc. The pictures pretty much speak for themselves as far as the condition. As soon as I purchased it, I put floor liners and seat covers in it. This helped keep it in such good condition inside. I have been very particular about the mainenance on this truck. I have kept the oil changed every 3,000 miles using factory oil filters and Mobil Delvac oil. The most recent oil change has been within the last 500 miles. At around 50,000 miles, I put front brakes on the truck along with a diesel lift pump. I also had to install a new clutch slave cyliner and master cylinder (they came as one sealed unit with a line connecting them from Dodge). More recently (within the last 1,000 miles), I went ahead and pulled the transmission and put a clutch disc, pressure plate, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, and clutch fork in the truck. I also resurfaced the flywheel at this time. The clutch was not worn out, but one of the springs went bad in the clutch disc (this is a common problem on these models). While I was in there, I just went ahead and took care of anything that could cause a future problem. I also have just installed a brand new a/c compressor. When I did this, I flushed the entire a/c system and installed a new dryer and expansion valve as well. Along the way, I have installed two new Interstate batteries, multiple air filters, fuel filters, etc. to keep it in good condition. The tires have just been rotated as well but are getting a decent amount of wear on them. I would plan on replacing them within the next 10,000 miles, but I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere as is. I am the type of person that is really anal about my vehicles. I always let my diesels warm up before I take off in them, etc. to try and minimize wear and tear on the engine. There are only a couple of negatives about this whole truck. One of the taillights has the black plastic trim chipped off around it and a very, very small dent in the bed at that spot. I have included a picture of this. We were moving a small trailer by hand, and the tongue bumped into it. The rear bumper has a small dent in it as well. This was also from bumping into a trailer tongue. The windshield has a crack in it, but I never considered it severe enough to replace. Recently, the tint on the two front side windows has started deteriorating a little bit. I would plan on at some point just peeling it off on these two windows and havign it retinted if you desire tint. I beleve all of the other windows are factory tinted. I had a headache rack on the truck, and even though I lined it with rubber underneath, there are two small spots at the front inside bed corners where the paint is rubbed off. There are also some holes in the bottom of the bed where the previous owner had a fifth wheel hitch mounted. When I purchased the truck, there was a cheap brushguard on it. I removed it, but this left two small slits cut in the plastic up front where it was installed through. The dash of this truck is in perfect condition, which is rare. I covered it with a dashmat as soon as I bought it, and it has stayed good. The black trim piece around the gauges does have a crack as does the top lip of the glove box door. These were both like that when I purchased it, pretty much typical Dodge here. Overall, I would describe the truck in EXCELLENT condition for its age. I have obviously used the truck, but I have not abused it. The truck has never been in any accidents. As with any used vehicle, it is sold as is, where is with no warranty, but I have tried to take care of any and all issues that I am aware of before selling it. The truck has never let me down! It has been a great truck from the day I bought it. If my description sounded negative, I did not mean for it. I am just trying to make sure the new owner has all of the information about the truck that I know. I could go on and on about all of the positives, but I think the pictures speak louder than words about that. Two last things...The tailgate has a lock on the handle that I added for security, and the trailer ball shown in the pictures does not go with the truck. I have to be honest. I am kind sad to see this truck go, but it really does not fit our needs anymore. It is just not getting used like it should. I would rather see it go to somebody that is going to use it and enjoy it. Payment is due within 5 days of end of auction by cash or cashiers check. I am happy to hang on to the truck as long as you need for pick-up and am glad to assist with shipping if arranged by the buyer. Truck is located around College Station, TX.
