1961 Corvette Roadster for Sale This Corvette I am selling is for a good friend of mine that is part of his brothers estate sale and was restored over the past 8 years. The deceased owner only used original parts and demanded excellence during the restoration of this Corvette. He drove this car a total of 3,300 miles over the past 6 years before he passed away. The car is in Like new condition, and does not even have a stone chip any where. I walked around this car for over an hour looking at everything on the car so I can answer any questions at all about the car. Vin number is 10867S109357 (9,357th car produced out of 10,934) Engine Id is 109357 F0516CQ bulit May 16th in Flint MI, with 283 230 horsepower and 4 speed. Block Casting date code E01 means May 1st Block casting numbers 375G519 means correct block for a 1961 Corvette Matching Numbers Means last 6 numbers of the Vin # match part of the engine Assembley numbers Motor runs very strong and was completely rebuilt in 2006, sounds great and starts instantly. Convertible-Honduras Maroon, new white top, black interior. Miles on the vehicle are 37022 (not verifiable but look to be original) High Quality paint is new and is mint, no chips, cracks, defects, anywhere- this was a HIGH dollor period correct body and paint job. Frame is excellent and solid with no signs of any work ever being done to it, and painted. Manuel steering-brakes and windows. Gauges all have new clear lens, Wonderbar radio-Am-Fm works flawlessly, New windshield, frame was dissembled and redone at a $1,922 cost, New top with pads, tabs, straps and frame was restored, hubcaps and wheels appear to be the originals and are in excellent shape, always garaged and covered. Again, this car is like new, you will not find another 1961 Corvette Roadsters in this condition that was restored in 2006 - 2007 and driven very little to shows and so on. I am sure I am forgetting a few things but keep in mind I have sold over $600,000 worth of classic cars and some were over over $40,000 - $50,000 and this car is the best example of any classic car I have sold. Some more parts that are new, Carpets, Seats, exterior moldings, tires, Bumpers rechromed, door panels, exhaust system, gauges, water pump, generator rebuilt, weather stripping, conv top, T-3 headlights, etc-etc. There are to many parts to keep going. The fit and finish is above the GM standards for back in 1961. This Corvette is 52 years old and is a restored vehicle and is not a new vehicle and will make the next owner very proud to own.
