Vehicle Detail
Original condition , unmolested Triumph T100C with matching numbers. The engine is strong, starts on the first or second kick, has no unusual noises and burns no oil. The transmission is strong and smooth and shifts through the gears with ease. The clutch plates ( Barnett/heavy duty ), sprockets and chain were replaced about 2000 miles ago. The hi/low headlight beams work as well as the tail and stop lights. The horn works. There are no issues with the charging system and the battery is good. The paint on the tank, side cover and oil tank is bright and shinny and has been polished and waxed every year under my ownership. The black paint on the forks is dull and aging. The paint on the frame is OK and shows somewhat of a shine. She sports the original seat that is in very good condition. The speedo works but its accuracy can not be relied on. A few years ago I took off the original, big mufflers and replaced them with the smaller "pea shooter" mufflers that were fitted to earlier T100C's. The original mufflers and the "birdcage" heat shield goes with the machine. This motorcycle is a lot of fun to ride. It is light, nimble and has ample power for regional rides. Sprockets from the Daytona 500 were fitted so engine RPM is kept to a minimum on the street. It is very reliable and easy to maintain. It's a machine to be enjoyed. She's not a show queen but her looks and condition still turns heads and is quite a conversation piece. As the second owner I have had the bike for about 16 years. The original owner is from Canada and I picked it up there. It does need new tires ( dry cracking ) and new fork gators. But that's about it. She's ready to ride. Good luck bidding! She is a delightful machine. On May-06-13 at 10:48:10 PDT, seller added the following information: I can not verify the originality of the paint on the tank. The color is correct and the finish is factory-like ( smooth, glass-like and uniform ) in quality, but and observer has said it is not the original finish if there is not silver stripe down the center of the tank. Others have said that not all machines sold in Canada had a stripe on there tanks, just as some machines were shipped without kneepads and other items from the factory. However all other features appear to be in stock condition to the best of my knowledge including the oil tank and left sidecover. Also included but not shown are the skid plate and passenger pegs.
