You Lusted After This When You Were a Kid- Why not Share With Your Grandkids! Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a gorgeous,STREET LEGAL,original bike in Candy Red. Most were terribly trashed by young owners which is why SL’s in this condition are so rare. When I first went to see it, a tip off was that from a distance I noticed it had its original mirrors and chrome chain guard. I was pleasantly surprised viewing it closeup as I found it to be in outstanding original condition with a super low 3020 miles. I purchased it from the original owner in Detroit who was already an aging adult when he bought it brand new. He only rode it around town, never off road, and took meticulous care of it. It comes with its original owners manual, and original shop manual with his detailed maintenance log. This color usually fades, but the paint is bright everywhere. The tank has no dents or dings, The headlight shell is excellent with no cracks, the chrome arms that hold it on are excellent. Speedometer looks like new. The seat is like new with no rips or tears. Fenders are straight, with beautiful paint. Rims are great and run straight. All original controls, grips, levers, and mirrors Starts easily and runs like new. It is a peppy little bike, you probably would have killed to have one when you were a kid. It is beautiful, however, It is not a show bike. It shows the normal patina on the underbody and frame that you get from any motorcycle stored in unheated garages in northern climates. The gas tank has a ¾”scrape shown on its left rear near the seat and a few small nicks here and there. The inside of the tank has been sealed and the petcock has been repaired by welding it into the bottom of the gas tank. It works without leaking. The left sidecover is intact, but has cracks that have been repaired. The exhaust pipe joint and at the very rear have been tastefully welded and painted. The handlebars are slightly tweaked and I know how that happened. It fell over in the grass when I was taking its picture! I have included a lot of pictures but I can take more by request.
