Please read the entire description as I will try to be as detailed and accurate as possible. Very sad to see this car go...it's been extremely well cared for and has been a pleasure to drive! It's an original California car (black license plates), numbers-matching 1967 1/2 Datsun Roadster that was lovingly restored over an 6-year time frame and the care that went into her shows! There are over $26,000 worth of reciepts (You read that correctly) not including the original purchase price of the car that will be included with this auction! Some highlights: The car was completely stripped of all trim, wiring, interior and drivetrain for a $5000 paint job. The numbers-matching engine has been thoroughly rebuilt and the transmission upgraded to the Roadster 2000 5-speed for lower highway RPMs. The convertible top is cloth and is in perfect condition with all top bow hardware being rechromed. The windshield has been replaced with NOS glass and is perfect and clear. The dash board, console and 5-speed shift plate were powder coated while they were out of the car. The fuel tank was removed, boiled and powder coated in gloss black. The brake lines and master cylinder have all been replaced. All guages are fully functional including the clock and amp meter. There is a new battery with 1967 1/2 correct tray and hold downs. She rides on 15x6 Performance wheels with new Kumho Ecsta ASX 195/60R15 tires. She idles perfectly, runs true down the road and handles with precision and confidence...Nothing has been overlooked and it is truly a beautiful car! The issues: The 1st/2nd gear syncro in the 5-speed needs to be replaced...I am including a second, rebuildable 5-speed transmission for this reason. The paint is near-perfect over 90% of the car, but is showing cracks in a few specific areas. I've tried to show those as best as possible in the pictures. The center console heat/vent controls need to be connected and is missing the passenger side vent control lever. The Details: The car has been covered/garaged (cover included) since purchased and is located in the Los Angeles area. The buyer is responsible to pick the car up locally or arrange for shipping. I can be available to deliver the car on a flat-bed, open trailer for $1/mile round-trip within California, Nevada, Utah or Arizona if that's helpful. A deposit of US $500.00 is due within 48 hours of auction close. On May-04-13 at 13:56:48 PDT, seller added the following information: Quite a few people have asked about the seats...They are from a Miata and are in great shape. About a year ago a pair of original seats were found along with a full set of working seat tracks. The seats are excellent 67 1/2 buckets (no headrests) with the original factory vinyl! They took forever to track down! I intend to offer them up as a complete set to whoever wins the auction for the car for a flat $400...or else sell them in a separate auction next week.
