Vehicle Detail

a 1996 Chevrolet Corsica with a 3.1, 6 cylinder motor. This is a two owner vehicle that my mom bought new in 1996. I have owned it since 2009. It has been a very good car. During the winter winter of 2004 she bumped the car into someone on some ice. She had been considering a new car at that time anyway so just replaced it with an 05 Impala SS. It sat until 09 when we replaced the hood and front pieces and I started driving it. Over this past weekend I had a mechanic replace the water pump and the serpentine belt. Afterward I drove it one time, it started getting hot so I pulled it over at a station. The mechanic started the car the next day and checked it. He said it was running rough and said he thought the problem was either the head or a blown head gasket. So I had it towed to my mom's old house and left it there. I decided to try to buy another vehicle I have been looking at and let this one go. I am not a mechanic and do not want to mess with it anymore. Below is what I can tell you about the car: The body is in good shape with no body damage with the exception of possibly a scratch or a small ding here or there but no dents. The battery was purchased in August 2011Tires were purchases last summerBrand new serpentine beltBrand new water pumpAir conditioning worked last year but would not blow cold this year when we turned it onAround 109000 miles (less I think but I rounded up, may be as low as or lower than 105xxx-106xxx)Front Brake pads replaced in Summer of 2011Power Windows (ALL WORK)Power Locks (passenger does not work, has to be locked manually)Interior is "ok" although I think the seats may be becoming a bit dry-rotted from the time it spent sitting. Covers are starting to split in places (especially drivers seat)Dash is dry rotted and brittle and broken in a couple spots.Folks, there are alot of possibilities for this old car, especially if you are a mechanic. I am not, and, to be honest, am tired of this vehicle because I really need something a bit bigger for hauling purposes and would just like something different. Fix it up or use for parts, either way it will be a bargain. As of 2 days ago it did start and run and was in fact driven. This is a good driving car with lots of power and speed and I have enjoyed owning it. I have tried to list everything I can think of so if you have any questions, please ask BEFORE BIDDING.
