Vehicle Detail
This is a 1955 Studebake President coupe. The President was the top of SAtudebaker's line in 1955, with only the President Speedster at a higher trim level. The car runs strong and drives, and is pretty presentable, although it should have additional work done to make it really nice. The paint is average, the car has new tires, and the interior has been redone. The car had a lot of work done to it by the previous owner last year including a new battery, new brakes all around, all new weatherstripping was installed including the windshield, vent window, quarter glass, trunk seal. The tie rods were replaced as well. Total cost of the services was almost $6,000. I have the receipts. Car needs some further interior work, including dash pad cover (tear), the ignition switch needs a bezel not. some other dash trim items. The chrome is also presentable, but an upgrade of re-plating would improve the appearance. Transportation is the responsibility of buyer. PayPal deposit of $500 within 48 hours and balance by bank check or wire transfer within 7 days of purchase. I do not have a title for this car. Sold with a bill of sale only. The car underneath is very solid. The frame has only surface rust, as also the underside of the floorboards. I did not take up the carpet, but from under the car the floor boards are very solid. There is some amount of body undercoat still on the floorboards. That appears whitish / gray in the pictures. The pictures of the trunk pan also show solid around the body mounts at rear and towards the front of the trunk pan. I did not rip out the trunk matting; only peeled back what I could. The dirver side rear body mount in the trunk may appear that there are a couple of holes, but that is glue from the trunk matting where I did pull it back. The car came out of Georgia.
