Vehicle Detail
This is a 1973 340 Cuda body that I am selling as a parts car. Originally the car was a 340/727 slapstick car with A/C and center console. It also had the sway bar suspension and cloth/vinyl upgraded interior. As you can see the vinyl top trapped in moisture and ruined the top of the car. That is why I pulled parts from the car and began to sell as a parts car. The doors are currently off the car but go with it. I also cut out the transmission tunnel for the slapstick arrangement. The story behind the car is that it was sanded down for a paint job in the 80's and left in the Texas bone yard, where I bought it in 2010 with the title. The car was a northern undercoated car so most of the underside is still good. What you are bidding on: You are going to get this body with the B5 blue doors, and door glass. The following sheet metal on the car is in good shape: rocker panels, inner fenders, front subframes, 26" radiator opening insert, rear door jambs, rear package tray, rear package tray supports, rear wheel tubs (saved by undercoating) and the lower cowl panel with the exception of a few spot weld holes (see pictures) The rear subframes I think are mostly good, with the exception of a soft spot over the rear passenger side tie down bracket and a quarter sized hole on the rear drivers side, near the brake line mounting tab. Note, the 340 Cuda suspension does not go with the car.The front K, sway bars, rear leafs, and torsion bars are staying with me for my other car. PLEASE BID ACCORDINGLY! Relisted due to a non-paying bidder. Please, if you do not have the ability to submit payment, do not bid. I have already lost 3 weeks on selling this car while trying to receive payment. I don't expect a large amount of money for this car as it is a parts car, so the title will not go with the car. I do Have another 1973 car in better shape. The two together would be a great start on a restoration project or all out race car. My advice to you is to bid on this car as though you only want the pieces you can see and are happy with. There are no cancelations and full payment is due at the end of the auction. Winning bidder will need to pick up from the current location just south of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Sold as is, where is with no exceptions. If you are unsure about these parts, then use your instinct. As this is legally binding once you place a bid. Thanks and happy bidding!
