You are bidding on my personal 1986 Honda Goldwing GL1200. I had a wreck on this bike last year. I had intended to fix the bike however my family has told me no more motorcycles (so I bought a bass boat instead - lol). I really have no time to repair the motorcycle and I need to get it out of the way. The bike only has 16,215 ORIGINAL miles! I am the 3rd owner of it. My uncle was the second owner. The engine on the bike runs great. The engine fires right up in any temperature. Doesn't smoke or leak. It does have what sounds like a slight exhaust leak which you can hear at idle. In the wreck, I side-swiped the left side against a pickup truck. In the accident, the left side engine guard was ripped off and in the process the left frame tube was bent where the engine guard bolts to it. From what I can see, this is the only damage to the frame. Also, on this side the left valve cover, timing cover and cam gear were all broken. I had all of this replaced by a local mechanic and the engine is running great. The bike currently is NOT drivable. I have driven it around my yard some but one of the brackets that holds the fairing was bent into the forks and the bike won't turn hard right as the fork hits this bracket. The left handlebar is also bent. In addition to the damage that you can see in the pictures, it will also need a battery. Just weeks before the accident, I had done a complete and total maintenance to the bike which included all of the following:NEW TIRES - Both tires only have about 100 miles on them. The tires were filled with balance beads. I repainted and polished both wheels while the tires were off of them and they look almost like new.New Timing BeltsNew Oil Filter and OilNew Spark PlugsCleaned and Serviced the K&N Air FilterGas Tank was totally cleaned inside, fuel lines and filter replacedNew Hand GripsDisassembled the rear end. Cleaned, checked the drive splines (a common problem on these bikes however these looked perfect), greased the splines, cleaned and repainted the differential and refilled with new lube.
