Vehicle Detail

I JUST LOWERED THE PRICE TO $5200. I AM NOT A DEALER SO THERE ARE NO ADDITIONAL FEES OF ANY KIND EITHER. IF NOT SOLD BY THURSDAY I WILL DRIVE IT TO SAN DIEGO FOR 4 OR 5 WEEKS. IF ANYONE WANTS TO OWN IT FOR THEMSELVES THEY MUST INSPECT IT, DECIDE THEY WANT IT AND PAY FOR IT BY THURSDAY, MAY 2. I EVEN OFFER A RIGHT TO INSPECT. WHATEVER HAPPENS IT MUST BE DONE BY THURSDAY. I AM LEAVING FRIDAY IN THIS VAN, OR IF IT IS SOLD, MY OTHER VAN. PRICE IS FIRM. THERE IS NO BETTER VALUE THAN THIS. THIS VAN IS ALSO POSTED ON OTHER SITES AND IS SUBJECT TO PRIOR SALE. AS LONG AS IT IS SHOWING HERE IT HAS NOT BEEN SOLD. Please note that this is a true factory built Chateau. The Econoline E-150 XLT or XL Clubwagon designations are models below the top of the line Chateau. I have included these descriptors in my listing since some people looking into the Ford vans may not be fully aware of the differences between the Chateaus and the lower models like XLT, and be entering these descriptors. WITHIN THE PAST WEEK I HAVE GOTTEN A COMPLETE TUNE UP, WHICH WAS JUST UNDER $400. THAT INCLUDED PLUGS, COIL PAKS, AND BOOTS. I ALSO REPLACED THE FRONT BRAKES WITH NEW ROTORS, PADS, GUIDE PINS, AND SLEEVES THAT WAS A LITTLE OVER $360. PLUS I CHANGED THE OIL. MY TIRES ARE A BETTER BRAND, MATCHED SET WITH ABOUT 75% TREAD LEFT. THOSE WERE OVER $600. That adds up to right about $1400 in normal maintenece that you won't have to contend with for a long while. Some people may wonder if it sounds too good to be true that so much care has been taken of the van right before selling it. The answer is simple. If I do not sell it by next Thursday, May 2, I will be driving to San Diego in it. If I do sell it I take my other van. Either way, I am going to San Diego. I have made that drive before. The northern route I take is spectacular, especially going through the Rockies in Colorado going into Utah. There are many extensive upward grades followed by equally long downgrades which necessitate a well running engine and safe, properly maintained brakes. Anyone who has made the drive can appreciate this. How many sellers pay to have so much done before they go to sell their vehicles? I ALSO OFFER A BUYER THE OPPORTUNITY TO INSPECT THE VAN OR ARRANGE TO HAVE THE VAN INSPECTED AND BE ABLE TO WITHDRAW FROM THE SALE IF THE VAN DOES NOT MEET EXPECTATIONS. If the buyer wants to exercise this option he/she must notify me through E-Bay messenger within 24 hours of sale. The deposit must be paid within 24 hours regardless of the intent to inspect or not inspect. Inspection must take place on or before May 2, 2013 and payment in full must be made on or before that date as well if buyer chooses to complete the purchase. If the buyer or an agent for buyer upon inspecting the van chooses to withdraw from the sale then the deposit will be returned within 2 business days provided it has already been cleared into my account, minus any fees, if any were to incur, that E-Bay or Pay Pal might impose on seller and not refund. In no event would any such fees, regardless of their total imposed on seller, exceed $150. SO TO ANY BUYER, I OFFER THE RIGHT TO INSPECT THE VAN, TEST DRIVE IT, HAVE IT LIFTED UP AND INSPECTED. IF SOME SHOP INSISTS ON $15 OR $20, WHATEVER, TO DO THAT, THE BUYER WILL HAVE TO PAY THAT. HOWEVER, IF THE BUYER COMPLETES THE SALE, I WILL REIMBURSE THAT $15 OR $20. I CANNOT BE ANY MORE REASONABLE AND FAIR AND NOT MANY SELLERS ARE AS WILLING, OR AS CONFIDENT IN WHAT THEY ARE SELLING. I am watching all the main and even some secondary websites including E-Bay and there are rarely any low mileage Chateaus in the same condition as mine for a comparable price. If I were a buyer right now and not a seller, I would consider my van at this price the excellent value everyone looks for. It is definitely worth emphasizing that I am just the second owner of this van. I am not a dealer. This is not a van from some auction. PLUS, ON FRIDAY THE 12TH OF APRIL, THE VAN DID GET THAT COMPLETE TUNE UP...PLUGS, COIL PACK, PLUG BOOTS, ETC. THE VAN ALSO HAD A COMPLETE FRONT BRAKE JOB. NEW ROTORS, PADS, CALIPER SLIDES AND SLEEVES, BEARINGS REPACKED ETC. THE WORK WAS DONE AT REPUTABLE SHOPS BY CERTIFIED MECHANICS. THE VAN RUNS AND DRIVES WONDERFULLY. The van was in outstanding condition when I bought it and I have strived to continue the fine care of the van. I believe the condition it is in now shows the results of those efforts. Being a Chateau it has all the options. The 5.4 V8 Triton runs strong and smooth and the 4 speed automatic with overdrive shifts without slippage. There are power windows, drivers' seat, mirrors, and door locks, with remote fobs of course, cruise control and steering. Front and rear heat, with good HOT heat from the rear unit, front and rear AC as well, tinted windows, upgraded fabics on all the seats, and 4 captains reclining seats with arm rests. Both front seats also have lumbar adjustments, AM/FM radio with casette and CD conrol features, tilt steering wheel, full running boards, trailer hitch and chromed bumpers including the sought after rear step bumper with protective cover. The window visors both have lighted mirrors, all the ceiling lights work, as do all the options. The interior is excellent. The headliner pristine, the seats void of tears, rips frayed surfaces etc. The carpet is also in excellent condition. On a scale of 1-10, I honestly give the interior a solid 9. Minor scruffs on some places on the rear section side panels. You will love the feeling of pride you will get to enjoy any time someone gets in the van. The body has never been in an accident. There are a couple of rust spots but nothing really major. You will be very satisfied with the condition of the body. The paint has a lot of nice, even shine to it and the alloys are also in far better condition than what you would normally expect. As I said, I am only the second owner and this van has never been neglected. A word about the pictures. I believe picture #18 shows the bottom of the driver door. The next picture is of a rust spot on the bottom of the sill just next to the door. As the picture shows the door bottom is almost pristine. There is a picture of the bottom of the right rear door. The next pictures show the interior bottom of the door and that is fine. Also the door jamb is excellent. The rust is under the paint and not through the door to the inside. If neglected it will become worse of course. For now it is an easy fix. If I wind up driving the van to San Diego I will take some time to fix it out there and maybe even sell it out there. I have plenty of travel miles so I could just fly back. In any case, should I drive it back, and the few rust spots were fixed, I would definitely be be contemplating a higher price. Just last week another 1999 Chateau with almost identical mileage and the same options sold for $7988 right here on E-Bay by a dealer also adding fees on top of that. Yes! There are cheaper vans, but not nicer ones for this price. As of 11:00 PM tonight there were 207 views and 46 watchers. WHO IS GOING TO STOP WAITING FOR AN EQUAL VAN FOR LESS MONEY TO MAGICALLY AND MIRACULOUSLY APPEAR? As for the rust spots they are nowhere near as bad as what you usually see in a van at this price...let alone a van with such a great interior, overall great body and paint and such low mileage. Being kept in a garage does make a difference. I also included pictures of the frame. ?
