Vehicle Detail

Last of the classic oil tank Bonnevilles. You won’t find a cleaner, unmolested original, including original paint, ready to ride or show. Only 6,267 original miles. I’ve had this iconic bike for nearly twenty years, and obtained it late 1994 from the second owner with 3,282 miles and the original tires still on it. Matching numbers T120R BD42826 - manufactured February 1970. AMA Vintage Days Bike Show - First Place - British Motorcycles 1966-1970 This bike has been meticulously cared for and ridden sparingly and is not a trailer queen. Service has been performed by licensed Triumph and Brit bike specialists to maintain and improve reliability. Service History Highlights 1994-1995 When I bought this bike, original Triumph dealer, Saginaw Cycle Sales was still operating and the Hawley brothers performed a complete inspection and service: cleaned and checked the head, honed the cylinders, replaced the rings and top end seals, and rebuilt the carbs, etc. The original exhaust and wheel rims were re-chromed and a few selected fasteners received new cad plating. Tires and tubes were replaced with new Dunlop K70’s along with new cables. The original paint was carefully cleaned and waxed. 2003 install billet push rod tubes, measure pistons, bores, check ring end gap; head - check guides, hand lap seats. 2008 Amal concentric carbs re-sleeved by Lund Machine 2008 Boyer electronic ignition and Podtronics rectifier-regulator (Zenor diode left in place to appear original. Original ignition parts retained if purist wants to reverse upgrade) Other original parts retained such as chrome push rod tubes go with bike plus original “Made in Great Britain” tires. Original paint has very nice gloss but is not perfect after 40 years. Back side of front fender shows wear from tachometer cable rubbing at one time and was touched-up decades ago. (see photo close-up). Hand painted gold striping has faded somewhat with time, but still shows very well and as the saying goes, “its only original once” This bike has a clean Michigan title, having been in the metro Detroit area since being imported from England, until I recently moved it with me to my retirement residence near Canton, Ohio. New battery and plugs installed April 2013. Started second kick and ready to ride with fresh oil and everything in good working order. Available for inspection by buyer or their agent by appointment. Serious inquires only. Available for pick-up or willing to deliver to shipper in Akron-Canton or possibly Cleveland, if prearranged by buyer. Buyer responsible for crating and shipping and any applicable taxes. Payment in full due before release.
