This is the kind of vehicle that will rescue your family after the Apocalypse, take you into deep jungle, or adventure the world. Originally from the factory the Dodge M-43 and M-37 trucks had 78 horsepower and topped out at under 60mph. They were made for solely off-road and in town trips. This great Power Wagon has been upgraded with the 300hp 5.7L GM350 V8 engine, allowing the car to easily travel at highway speeds. The major boost in horsepower allows you to drive wherever you wish to go and tow everything from a boat, to a camper, to a simple utility trailer with ease. Being a very common American made motor, parts are readily available and much less expensive. The motor has been overhauled, fires right up, and runs like a dream. Even after sitting for weeks, the engine starts with the first twist of the key. The NP420 manual 4- speed transmission shifts smoothly through all of the gears just as it should. The tires are 36” x 11.5” and have less than 500 miles on the road and are ready for any terrain. With only 6,970 original miles on the odometer since 1952, even before all of the upgrades, you have a very reliable vehicle. To ensure that even with more horse power and bigger tires you never get stranded, a Custom steel winch bumper was made in California just for this truck. A Smittybilt 8000lb winch was added, as well as 2 bumper mounted fog lights. This setup could literally pull down a house. Four more flood lamps were added to a custom light bar over the windshield, and two 55watt flood lamps were added to the rear bumper. The lights are all controlled by the dash mounted toggle switch panels with red LED indicator lights. The interior was completely gutted, painted, and redone. With 3 smittybilt waterproof seats across the front row and plenty of cargo room in a 7’ bed, this Custom Power Wagon can take you and all your gear into and back out of even the harshest wilderness. A touch screen GPS Navigation, Cd, MP3, DVD, Radio, etc. head unit was installed. The speaker box seats beneath the seats and includes two 6” round waterproof speakers. There is an iPod hookup which comes out of the dash. The flooring was made custom by the American Rubber Company out of commercial grade industrial black diamond print rubber. All of the flooring can easily be removed hosed down and put back in after long trips, or just hose it down while it is still in place. With the exception of the stereo, the entire interior is 100% waterproof. The seats, door panels, custom dash, etc. are all made out of Marine grade vinyl or painted. For nighttime adventuring and exploring, white LEDs were added under the dash and red LED strip lighting shines down on the gauges. With all of the interior work just completed recently, this 1952 Dodge M43 Power Wagon truly has the new car smell that you would expect. The heat blows nice and hot and there are glass roll up windows and a black vinyl top to keep you warm and dry on rainy days. The windshields fold out and a separate hood vent pops up to allow fresh air in. With is fully custom Power Wagon you can be ready for doomsday or go explore the world today.
