1971 Ford F250 Sport Custom Pickup VIN: F25YCM07836 Same Local Owners for 25 Years – Virtually Rust Free Remember the bedtime story of “Jack and the Beanstalk” your Mama told you as a kid? How Jack went to town to peddle the family cow and returned home with a handful of “magic beans” instead of cash? I’ve been in the wholesale trade for the better part of two decades and over the years I’ve trained a select number of folks to go out and buy inventory for our business. Every so often I’m surprised by what Humphrey arrives back at the shop with, so you can imagine what I thought when he drove up with this nice, great running F-250 Ford pickup. Now, I don’t want to appear negative, but what ideally I want him to buy are LATE model rigs and a 43-year-old Ford Pickup, no matter HOW COOL, doesn’t fit that description. Please help Humphrey save his job and give this clean, great driving vintage Sport Custom your kind attention! Condition Take a good look at our photos. Even with just a casual glance you’ll quickly gather that this F250 was loved and well kept by a long-term owner, probably somebody’s Granddad. For those of you not familiar with the Pacific Northwest, we get our share of misty rain, but hardly ever any snow. At the first sign of a falling flake everyone panics and stays home. School is cancelled and business grinds to a stop from “sick” workers calling in. Truth is; our winter roads are rarely salted, so you’ll find very few vehicles with any real rust issues here. Please feel free to climb over, under and around this rig - I know you’ll come up smiling! The dash has full factory instrumentation including oil-water-amp gauges. Granddad added the old school vacuum gauge, an AM-FM tape player and the nice early-seventies tachometer on the steering column. An under-dash aftermarket air conditioning system was installed, but it seems some parts are missing so it isn’t functioning. All the glass is in fine condition. A close inspection of the door panels tells me they’re also original and are very nice overall; no UV-induced vinyl breakdown. Same goes for the headliner and sun visors. You’ll be very comfortable sitting on the firm bench seat as it’s in excellent condition with no wear spots, rips or tears. When you open the hood, you’re in for another nice surprise. This truck has a clean, great-running 360 engine. The very second you fire it up; you’ll know it was built to last! We spent several hundred dollars upgrading to a Carter AFB Competition Series Carb that really feeds and lets the big block breath the way it deserves. The automatic transmission is strong and I believe there are 4.56 gears in the 10-inch rear pumpkin. Both inside and out you’ll find very, very nice two-tone paint done to the original factory colors. The Eagle alloy wheels are wrapped with LT245/75R16 radials all having at least 75 percent remaining tread. Here’s how the VIN code and door data plate breaks down: F250 – ’71 Ford F250 4x2 Y - 360 CID, 215 HP engine C - Ontario Assembly Plant M - July, 1971 Production 74 – Dana 5050# 4.56 Rear Axle Ratio O/K – Deluxe Tu-Tone Pearl White over Boxwood Green Paint G – Automatic Transmisson F254 – 6,900 GVW The data plate shows it was delivered to the Seattle, Washington Ford Sales District 74 and had a July, 1971 build date. This has always been a locally licensed truck. Please feel free to email, text or call me with any questions. My name is MARK and my direct number is 206/914-1173. You’re welcome and encouraged to come by to drive and inspect the truck after making an appointment. Please consider making an offer before the end of the auction, as many of our vehicles sell to a smart “early bird” prior to the auction’s conclusion. I always reserve the right to sell during this period. Because of the amount of money involved in buying a vehicle, we require that Ebay members with a feedback history of five or fewer transactions call or email before placing a bid. If I don’t have this initial contact, your bid may be cancelled. A Few Additional Terms and Conditions: Please check the photos over closely and call me with any questions BEFORE bidding! I make every effort to describe vehicles as accurately as possible, but am sure there’s always a detail or two that gets missed. You’re encouraged to inspect the truck at my Auburn, WA warehouse so send your representative early to be sure you don't miss this one. DEALERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME TO BID AS WELL! A nonrefundable $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction’s end. The balance is due by cash or certified funds within seven days of the auctions conclusion unless a prior arrangement has been made with me. Please remember you are bidding to buy and I fully expect the winner to fulfill their Ebay contract! This means you’re not bidding to hold, inspect or then come test-drive the truck later as you’re more than welcome to do this before the auction ends. We ship vehicles regularly and I'd suggest getting a bid from the company most of my buyers use (and that Ebay endorses): Dependable Auto Shippers (DAS) at dasautoshippers.com. Call my regular rep, Janice, at (469)587-5096 for a quote using my affiliate number (2362642) so she can pull up all of our location info. As an alternative you might also try the U-Ship.com website. Transporters will email you delivery quotes and you'll be able to choose who you want to use. My zip code for pick-up here in Auburn, WA is 98002 when asking for an instant on-line quote from either source. The shipping of the truck and company chosen are the responsibility of the BUYER and you may store it free of charge at my warehouse location for up to two weeks after the auction ends assuming full payment has been received. After that period storage is $20 per day. The buyer will be responsible for meeting the licensing requirements in their state of residence.
