I'm selling this beautifully restored 1968 Triumph Bonneville for my friend and neighbor whose husband recently passed away. This was his pride and joy. John purchased this bike and rode it for the 5,600 miles shown on the odo. He parked it for a number of years then returned it to Steve Collins, owner of Collins Cycle, Inc. of Suttersville, PA. for a complete restoration. Collins Cycle is one of the nation's best known new and classic Triumph motorcycle dealers. This is the shop that does the work on Mike Seate's bikes that are featured on the television show "Cafe Racer". After the initial restoration, the bike sat in John's game room until his death. His widow, deciding to sell the bike, called Collins Cycle to get it in running condition. The bike was returned 4/8/2013, and as seen in the pictures, is truely a collectors dream. The bike runs flawlessly and is 100% restored to original condition. All nuts and bolts are cad plated, washers are brass or copper, in all the proper places, just as they came from the factory. The battery, tires (Dunlop Gold Seals) and tubes were replaced, the oil changed, and new gaskets installed in the carbs. Nothing was chromed or painted on this bike that would have deviated from its stock appearance. The 1968 is arguably the most desirable of all the Bonnevilles and, in some publications, are appraised at over $18,000 for one in this condition - but the reserve price for this one is thousands less.
