Vehicle Detail

1968 CL350K0 First Year Model in Daytona Orange Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 A first year model with that very distinctive gold trim around the seat and the extremely stylish muffler. Comes with original tool kit, original manual and with a clear Ohio title in my name. I have had this bike for ten years, I have ridden it on a few classic rides, a few times a year down to the Dairy Queen in the summer, but mostly it just sits there. I put new tires on it a couple of years ago, and they have less than 150 miles on them. So I guess it is time to let someone else enjoy it. It is in beautiful cosmetic condition. It is 100% original except for tires battery and the gas tank that was professionally repainted a few years ago. No cut wires or incorrect or cheap imitation parts. It even has its original plastic battery top cover and strap. The seat has its original metal post that holds it up when inspecting the battery. Handlebars are straight and unbent. No leaking crankcase or petcock. The fenders are gleaming with just minor imperfections, same with the rims, straight true and no rust, just a few black specs that won’t buff out. The spokes look great. The fork boots are supple and not ripped., the sidecovers are excellent with no cracks and have bright shiny Daytona orange emblems. The pipes themselves are wonderful, The K0 K1 have the very distinctive black rear exhaust shield and two individual pipes that come out from within the large chrome muffler. They are solid with none of the rust through that you usually get at the rear section or underneath the pipe. The chrome heat shield is beautiful . The gas tank is perfect. It should be, I had it professionally repainted about 8 years ago to match the stock Daytona Orange color and it blends real well with the rest of the bike. The seat is excellent, but it is slightly compressed from sitting on it over the years. The speedo/tach and all electrics work, including neutral light and yellow high beam indicator. It starts easily on either the kick starter or electric starter. It runs strong and settles down to a nice low idle as I just had a $250. professional tuneup(see invoice) from a 1960’s Honda factory trained mechanic last year. It included the rebuilding of carbs, new plugs, points, valves, and clutch adjusted. It has a new Yuasa battery last fall. However, I am not purporting it to be a show bike. It has two dents on the chrome headlight ring and one fork ear at the headlight mounting bolt has some of the black paint chipped off. It has the usual corrosion on the exhaust collars and on the undercarriage that you get when bikes sit around in an unheated garage in an Ohio climate. The rear fender is tweaked just slightly to the left. Otherwise the motorcycle is in excellent original condition, at least an 8.9 on a 10 scale. This is a rare model bike in premium original condition. I have included lots of pictures taken the first week in April of this year. However, for a serious buyer, I will take pictures of any part of the bike that you want. Additionally, it is available for inspection In the Columbus, Ohio area. Please come and see it before you bid. If you bid, you buy it, no exceptions. Buyer is responsible for shipping and shipping costs. I have shipped bikes all over the United States and I have some very good shippers that I can recommend. I can also work with any shipper that you designate I just took a new video of me starting and riding it this week on April 1. It is up on youtube, but for some reason I cannot load it on this Ebay ad. If you go to Youtube search window and type Honda CL350K0 April 1 2013 you can watch me start and ride it. Boy does that scrambler have a distinct sound that will bring back memories. Buy with confidence, I have a 100% satisfaction rating on Ebay. I also have a site Classicjapanesemotorcycles DOT COM Where you can go to learn more about this motorcycle and me.
