THIS VEHICLE IS LOCATED IN KENTUCKY. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS BEFORE BIDDING. DESCRIPTION: You are bidding on one previously owned 2005 Chevrolet Impala. This was owned and turned in to us by the Kentucky State Police. This is now considered Kentucky State Government Surplus Property. They have asked us to sell it for them on EBAY. VIN: 2G1WF52E659371801 GENERAL: This Impala is Blue in color and is a 4-door model. It has the 3.4 Liter V6 Gasoline Engine in it. Sometimes this engine is called the 3400. It has 155,600 miles on it. The tires are Good Year and they still look to have a lot of (tread) life left in them. Their size is P225/60R16. This Impala has 2 keys and each one has a key fob (remote). The hood and the trunk lid seem to have gotten the worst treatment. They are both heavily scratched up. The battery may be bad. I have to jump it first thing in the mornings, but then it started the rest of the day. There is a light ticking in the top end of the engine. It comes and goes. Lifter tick?? The engine runs fine otherwise. The transmission shifts good and it shifts smoothly. The brakes seem fine; they stop straight and do not pull left or right. The Air Conditioner is cold. The heater works but only if you have the air conditioner ON and you slide / turn the temperature controls to high or warmer. The driver’s window button works but you have got to have ‘the touch”. It goes down fine, as it should. But when you try to bring the window back up, if you push the button all of the way down it won’t come up. You have to let off of the button just a fraction and then the window will go back up as it should. This car drives well and rides good. The steering feels to be tight and it does not “road-walk” or it didn’t do it on the short trip that I drove it. DRIVER’S SIDE: Front Fender: It has 8-10 very small chips in the paint. It has a very small dent / ding over the wheel well opening. There are 2-3 small scratches. Driver’s Door: There are 4-5 small chips in the paint. There is a very small dent above the door handle. There is a light scratch approx. the size of a penny on the forward edge of the door about 8” down from the bottom of the window. The rear edge of the door has a few chips in the paint. Rear Door: It has a small dent, about the size of a quarter, about 1’ back and about 5” down. It has 3-4 chips in the paint and 4-5 light scratches. Rear Quarter Panel: There are several chips in the paint and several scratches with a lot more scratches on top of the quarter panel near the trunk lid. REAR END: Bumper: It has several scratches on the driver’s side rear corner and several other scratches below the trunk opening. Trunk Lid: The trunk lid has one hole in it where the KSP had a 2-way radio antenna mounted. It has a rubber grommet in the hole as a plug now. There are 3-4 very small dents / dings in or on the trunk lid. It also has a LOT of scratches on it and most of them are deep scratches. PASSENGER’S SIDE: Rear Quarter Panel: It has 3-4 small chips in the paint. There are a few small scratches with several more up near the trunk lid. Rear Door: There are 1-2 chips in the paint. There is 1 small dent in the body line approx. 5” back from the forward edge. Also there may be a few very light scratches. Front Door: There are a few chips in the paint. There are several scratches and a couple of them are long scratches. Front Fender: There are several chips in the paint and several scratches. FRONT END: Bumper: It has a few light scratches and a few chips in the paint. Grille: It looks like it is in pretty good condition but the “Chevy” emblem or the “Bowtie” is missing from the center. The headlights work just fine but they are cloudy or fogged over. It is not from moisture on the inside, as they appear to be dry. Hood: There are 8-10 small dings or small dents. It has several chips in the paint. The hood also has a lot of scratches both long and short as well as both light and deep. The forward edge on the hood has a bent place in it about 1-1/4” deep by 10” long near the center on the driver’s side. It looks like it is just folded down. The scratches on the hood and the trunk lid are the worst part. ROOF: There are a few light scratches and a few chips in the paint. The rear window rubber trim is turning upward at the corners. WHEELS: All four wheels have the wheel covers or hub caps in place. The driver’s side seems to be in good condition with maybe only a chip or two in the paint on them. The passenger’s side is more chipped up and the rear one has a spot that has a piece missing out of it. The tires are in really good shape with a lot of life left. There is a spare tire in the trunk under the carpet and floor. Also the tire jack is under there too. INTERIOR: It has a gray interior and gray cloth seats and gray carpet with matching floor mats. The front seat(s) are 60/40 and there is a fold up/down console or arm rest in the center that has a couple of cup holders and some storage under the arm rest lid. The carpet has some stains in it, mostly in the front area. Driver’s seat has a burn hole, perhaps a cigarette burn hole, near the front edge about in the middle or between your legs if you were seated. Other than that the seats all look like they are in pretty good shape. They might be a little dirty and need cleaning but nothing serious. The car has an AM / FM / Cassette Stereo. It has Air Conditioning and heat with dual temperature controls. The rear view mirror has 2 map lights under it that both work. It appears to have the OnStar system in it. Or at least the emblem for OnStar is in the rear view mirror. There is a piece of Velcro on the dashboard near the center and also there is something stuck to the dash above the glove box door that is about 2” x 1-1/2”. Down low almost under the dash just to the left of the ash tray opening, there are a few screw holes. Not certain, but they could have had something to do with 2-way communication devices. The ash tray slides out and inside there is a 12-Volt power supply and the actual cigarette lighter. Each sun visor has a covered mirror on it. This Impala has ‘Dual Front Airbags’. Other features include: Cruise Control, Tilt Steering Wheel, Power Door Locks, Power Windows, Power (external) Mirrors, Remote Trunk Release (in-dash) and Traction Control button which is also in the dash. The two Cruise Control buttons on the steering wheel have the ‘words’ flaking off. The headliner looks to be in good condition. There are 2-keys and 2- key fobs (remotes). The back seat appears to be in good condition except on the forward edge of the passenger side rear seat, it has some stains on that edge. I had this vehicle running while these pictures were taken. Please note that it is entirely possible that we missed something or failed to see it or failed to mention something about this vehicle.
