Vehicle Detail
This ...E-350 XLT SUPER DUTY FORD ...Van has been used by a small Technical Career College...for many usefull purposes ,since the school has owned it...It was a recovered theft vehicle that we purchased directly from the insurance company...Fortunately it had not been stripped that badly....When found by police the tires and rims had been stolen along with all the bench seats....and the ignition switch had been broken when stolen in order to drive the van....The van had been issued a salvage title ... In order to get the reconstructed title to have the E-350 re-instated by the Louisiana Dept. of Motor Vehicle...The college had to buy 4 used tires and rims..( later we bought new heavy duty 6 ply tires )..The tires have about 5K miles on them.....We also had to have a new ignition switch installed and door lock....There was no body damage or broken windows to replace at that time.....We did purchase a new battery and some new hub caps. The E-350 had about 62K miles on it when we got it....The van now has almost 76K miles on it...and we have had it for nearly 4 years...so you can see we only put about 3K miles a year on it. ..While being owned by the college the E-350 was well maintained because maintenance was the responsibility of our retired navy maintenance supervisor...who was in charge of maintenance of a helicopter unit while in the us navy... We had a heavy duty tow hitch unit professionally installed by u-haul....We decided not to purchase and re-install the 3 rear seats for the van , because we used it mainly for getting various supplies used by the college....It was originally a 12 passenger van ,and the inside pictures show most of the passenger seat belts are still there...I have taken the various pictures that I thought would give potential bidders and idea of the current physical appearance of the E-350...two pictures show the major dents that are present...the paint is still in nice condition and has a nice high gloss shine when clean...There are of course minor scratches and some small dents but not really that noticeable...The A/C blows cold and the heater heats well in the winter..There are no major tears or ripes in the interior seats or panels..I believe this E-350 XLT SUPER DUTY still has alot of good miles left on it....we towed our 18ft single car carrier trailor we use to have with a full size car on it....and the van handled well....This E-350 served the college well , but we just do not have a use for the van anymore that would warrant the school keeping it...with year after year of continuing cuts in higher education budgets....Any questions please ask here through ask the seller a question...what you see is what you will get if you are the winner of this NO RESERVE auction...the funds recieved from the auction of this .. FORD XLT SUPER DUTY E-350..will go to buy new equipment for the students in our Allied Health programs...Thank You for stopping to view my auction...and If you decide to bid ...Good Luck........Nick
