1984 Suzuki RM 250 Factory race bike, This bike was picked up at Mark Barnetts farm byFfactory Rep. when Suzki and Barnett split ways. Bike was sitting in pole barn 20yerars.While working for Suzuki back in 2004 saw bike and was able to make purchase. Through research was able to find this out about these limited built machines. Frame is preproduction no VIN stamping Main down tubes were cut lowered and beefed up,radiator mounts were lowered and a hole cut behind the steering stem for the lowered radiator hoses, uses a RM125 fuel tank, radiators are slimmer and longer, has a factory built Exhaust to clear the lowered fram and radiators. (Stock pipe will not fit this setup( i tried not wanting to dent this ultra light piece of art) Rear frame section is cut and lowered in several sections to acomiadate Barnetts small stature, Rear shock has magnesium body and special valving rock hard for normal rider.Front forks i am not sure of, may have had different forks, however the forks on the bike are brand new as with the front wheel still has origional tire, Brigestone M23. Kept as much origional plastic as possible installed new front fender and radiator shrouds due to dulling and scratches, but kept takeoffs. seat is the cut down one that i see on most of the picture found with Mark racing this bike, rear fender is origional as is the rear number plate and #2 sticker the fender has origional stickers. ( Fox ,Maxima, Oakley). Engine is also perproduction no stamping, cylinder is ported with special boost ports in the top of the intake, cylinder head has a trench cut in the back what seems like to match the boost ports flow across the head, engine bottomend is in new condition and did not need any attension.
