Vehicle Detail
1969 Mustang Convertible all matching numbers 302 2V 3-speed, 8 inch track lock rear, power steering, power disc brakes, power top. Just over 3300 of these were made in 69 with the deluxe interior décor. Engine turns over easily and I don't believe it would take much to make her run. I have a clear Title and the Marti report at work that I can send to anyone who wants a copy. Now the bad is that the previous owners left it sit outside with the top down for long enough to wreak total havoc on the poor girl. She is going to need major repair to the frame rails and torque boxes due to this. A full floor pan in addition to the usual quarter panel, trunk pan, under battery area and top of apron repairs will be needed. Doors have issues along with some door jam rust. Full frame rails are not totally necessary if you wanted to patch them in the exposed areas. Non exposed areas such as under the trunk and engine bay are fine. I do believe one front torque box can be saved without replacing but go in to this project expecting the worst and anything savable as a bonus. I am no an expert body man so please come take a look for yourself if you can. The power top is frozen open and I cannot make it close. Rocker panels are good and the doors open and shut relatively good but do get stuck sometimes. It doesn't appear to have ever been wrecked but their is a small dent on driver quarter and the lower front valance panel has been pushed up a little. For some reason the ignition tumbler was removed and missing from the dash so I could not have a key made for it but I did have one made for the trunk. The driver door glass is in the trunk due to someone removing it and their is a crack in the front windshield. Only other items missing is a front turn signal lens and marker light. Other than that she is very complete right down to the original distributor. The carb is a reman along with the starter but I do have the original starter in the trunk. This is a lot of original car for a good metal repair person. Please come look at it if you can and ask any questions desired before auction end. I will need a $500 deposit at the end of the auction to know the winning bidder is serious and I'll need it picked up within 2 weeks to a month due to space issues.
