Up for auction is my very nice KO CB500 four Honda motorcycle, built in October of 1971. The bike is overall very good in condition, and never touched for anything other than tune-ups. It was well cared for in a dry indoor environment which accounts for it's very nice appearence now. The paint is very good original with the right side cover broken and later professionally repaired which is to say it's not going to break again in that spot. Emblems are bright gas cap is super nice, tank needs a cleaning but not a liner as it is entirely solid. The chrome is very nice all over but the front fender has some pits that are acceptable unless perfection is a requirement. Also a mud flap was added to the front fender. The original pipes are in good shape although not perfect and showing signs of age. They seem like they will be functional as pipes, but some rust is apparent. Rims are great, tires are nice too. The seat is nearly faultless but it does have a small area of silver over spray in the passenger area. Some riding should wear it off. The rear fender has a like new warning sticker plus is a very sharp looking piece of chrome. The pictures delvulge most of the story but, if you have questions send me your phone number and I'll call you back. The rubber holder to lock in the battery is under the side cover. Frame condition is very nice with mostly bright paint. What does it need? The bike has been sitting for 20 years and needs the usual; cleaning of fuel system and points filing. It should be a great runner right out of the gate. Why? Because it's a Honda, it's that simple. It should be fast original driver or a terrific place to start a restoration. Email with questions.
