THIS VEHICLE IS LOCATED IN KENTUCKY. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS BEFORE BIDDING. DESCRIPTION: You are bidding on one previously owned 2001 Ford Explorer Sport- Trac. This Sport Trac was owned and turned in to us by the Kentucky State Police. This is now considered Kentucky State Government Surplus Property. They have asked us to sell it for them on EBAY. VIN: 1FMZU67E91UC08562 GENERAL: This Vehicle is Gold in color. It is a 4-door or crew cab. It has 149,095 miles on it. All of the windows have a fairly dark tinting on them as well as the front windshield has a strip across the top. Well it is more than ‘just across the top’; it comes approx. half way down the front windshield. It has the 4.0 Liter V6 Gasoline engine in it. It seems to runs just fine. It has no leaks, drips or obvious issues. The transmission shifts well and seems to be doing all that it is supposed to be doing. It is only a 2-wheel drive vehicle. The tires are P235/70R16. The tires have a LOT of tread life left in them. It has a full-size spare up under the rear of the truck. The tire jack is in a compartment behind the fold down part of the back seat in an enclosed compartment with a latching door, on the passenger side of the vehicle. The ABS light stays on. Also the tires feel like they need to be rebalanced. It drives OK but it has a little tire vibration in it as if they need to be rebalanced. DRIVER’S SIDE: Front Fender: It has a couple of scratches above the tire at the edge of wheel well opening. There is one small dent there as well. There are a couple of scratches and a couple of chips in the paint on the rest of the fender. Driver’s Door: There are 3-4 scuffs / scratches on the door molding. There are 3-4 scratches on the rest of the door. Rear Door: It has 3-4 scuffs / scratches on the door molding. There are 3-4 scratches on the rest of the door. There is a chip in the paint on the edge of the door to the rear of the door handle. Step Bar: The Gray has faded and there is some rust at the places that the step bar joins one section to the next section. The paint is worn off or mostly worn off on the outer most edges. Rear Quarter Panel: There are several chips in the paint and several scratches both long and short. REAR END: Bumper: It is all there but the plastic covering on it has faded and has a few knicks and a tear or two. Mostly around the center section where there is a 2” ball mounted. Under the bumper near the center is a connection outlet for a 4-way ‘flat’ plug. Tailgate: The tailgate can be locked with the ignition key. There are 3-4 chips in the paint and a few scratches and a couple of small dents. PASSENGER’S SIDE: Rear Quarter Panel: It has several scratches and a couple of chips in the paint. Rear Door: It has 2 long scratches and a few smaller scratches and a couple of chips in the paint. Front Door: There are a couple of chips in the paint and 3-4 light scratches. Step Bar: The Gray has faded and there is some rust at the places that the step bar joins one section to the next section. The paint is worn off or mostly worn off on the outer most edges. Front Fender: Only a few light scratches and 2-3 small chips in the paint. FRONT END: Bumper: The Gray lower portion of the bumper looks pretty good. It has 2 small holes in it in the center. It appears as if someone removed a license plate or a license plate bracket. The Gold portion has several chips in the paint and a few scratches. Grille: It has a chip or two in the gold paint but otherwise it looks pretty good. Headlights: They have just a little moisture in them. It isn’t a lot. Hood: There are several light scratches. There is a bug deflector too. It does not appear to be cracked or broken. ROOF: There are factory cargo racks. The roof has 6-8 small dents and a good long scratch on the passenger side from the rear towards the front. WHEELS: All four wheels need cleaning. The Clear Coating has come off of a good portion of the wheels. It has caused some pitting in the material of the wheel. They still could be made to look better. BED: There is 3-tie down spots on each side of the bed rails on the outside of the bed and on the inside of the bed there are 4-tie down places for better cargo security. There is some sort of Power Supply or some type of connection in the side of the bed towards the rear on the drivers’ side. It looks like it is from the factory OR it has been professionally installed later. There is some Green paint on the bed floor and on the inside of tailgate. There are a couple of holes in the center of bed floor. They appear to be approx. 1” in diameter. INTERIOR: It has a Tan dash. The seats are Gray and they are all stained and a good cleaning would help their looks. The rear seat on the drivers’ side has several cuts in it and 1 or 2 of those are deep cuts. It looks as if someone has taken a sharp knife and started slicing. The cuts are all in the seat bottom. There are 4-5 cuts and one is about 6-7 inches long. The seats are not powered, they are all manual seats. The drivers’ seat has a plastic trim piece that is loose near the floor towards the outside. The back of the rear seats fold down for extra cargo space or access to the compartments behind them. The tire jack is in the compartment on the passenger side. This truck has Cruise Control, Tilt Steering Wheel, Power Windows, Power Door Locks and Power external Mirrors. There are dual front airbags, AM / FM / CD as well as an ashtray and a 12 Volt Supply and cigarette lighter. There is a button on the dash for the Power sliding Rear window. It will go up or down or you may just ‘push’ the button and it will only open a little for use as a vent. The adjustable vent nearest the driver door has a couple of broken “slats” in it. Black vinyl floor mat throughout. There are 4 floor mats. Some of them have stains on them. The console has some storage and some cup holders. It also serves as an arm rest. It can be folded up to access the bag that is removable underneath armrest. The door handle on driver side has paint worn off of the handle. The rubber on the brake pedal is worn down to the metal on one side. The rubber door seal or molding is pulled loose at the bottom of the door in the center of the door sill. The steering wheel is either very dirty or stained. I tried a little to clean it, but I could not dedicate enough time to it. The heater seems to get warm and the Air Conditioner does work. It gets good and cold. I had this vehicle running while these pictures were being taken. Please note that it is entirely possible that we missed something or failed to see it or failed to mention something about this vehicle.
