Vehicle Detail

Offered for your consideration is a 1963 Mk2 Jaguar. It has been stored for some time, and is dusty, but will clean up beautifully. The car was "restored" before over 20 years ago, where the paint was redone to original BRG. The paint is actually quite good still and the body is very straight, however there is some corrosion in the rocker panels and rear driver's side door, where the metal is rusted through. The undercarriage is very very good, no rust at all. So, a little bit of body work and new paint would be required. All the glass is good. All the chrome is very good. Wood dash is original, and shows some checking/peeling in the lacquer finish, so should be refinished. Most of the interior will clean up OK, but the headliner and carpet will need to be redone. The car has chrome wire wheels in good shape as well. All tires hold air, but are older. And last, but not least, the car has Chevy 6-cylinder engine/transmission fitted. It was a neat conversion, no butchering was done in the engine compartment, and the engine was fitted to original motor mount points. The car was a runner, but has been sitting for some time, and will need normal servicing before it can be driven. The car was purchased with the intent of bringing it back to original condition (converting back to Jaguar drivetrain). Original 3.5L engine and overdrive 4-speed transmission were purchased at a cost of $4000 to convert the car back to stock. That drivetrain is supposed to be in good running condition, but is untested. It is the correct 3 1/2 liter 6 with 4-speed overdrive transmission. The car has been garaged for years now, so figure on redoing the brakes, fuel tank, etc. It's a worthy project. The car is buried inside a garage, and it's not easy taking good photos of it. I took the best pictures I could, please do not ask for more. The pictures below will show all the problem areas of the car, which are limited to some rust in the rockers and bottom skin of left rear door. The car is completely solid and rust free otherwise. The car is complete with few extra parts. Clear Oregon title. Shipping is buyers responsibility, but seller will assist with logistics. International shipping is OK. Thank you! Please allow enough time for all 60 pictures to load.
